As this will very much affect by list building and weighing out the speed of any army. At 1000 pts will we be playing on 44x60 tables or the half 44x30 tables? I know in the escalation tournament I made my small table list a little too fast and it kinda sucked for the other player, the smaller table means you have to be mindful of movements over 8" cause you can rush at table pretty easy. I think the only way to prevent it is to just use the regular table size... I agree the 44x30 can be pretty problematic depending on the army you face.

I honestly don't know what the brass does any more. I think angron is probably a pass... How would you compare the brass to a knight?

you know, the one time I don't put any restrictions on secret santa saying everyone can police themselves and within a day I'm hearing about (on here or in PM) brass scorpions, primarchs, T13 gargantuan squiggoths, knights and Lords of skulls.
This isn't that kind of tournament.

Is Eldrad Ulthran (Eldar, 110 points) and Jain Zar (also Eldar, 105 points) allowed together in the same list for the his tournament, or would it be too much? Would even one of them be too much? I'll be honest, I don't know much about them other than what little I've seen in the app. Other than a Farseer I haven't built yet, they are all I currently have for Eldar leader characters (Both fantastic models that look great, which is the whole reason why I got them, hahaha).
If it's not allowed, I'll look to buy something to fill that void in the list.

I'll have to dust off my dwarfs. They have far more fitting colors for a Christmas tournament than my 'crons

Since other people are talking about huge skew units that are most of a list I want to bring up that the other end of the skew can be just as bad. Did a test with basically a list of “how many gaunts can I legally run at 1k that sounds funny” it wasn’t fun to play as or against.

I once ran 60 genestealers in a tournament... by game two my back punished me far more than any of my opponents would have lol

Upon reflection, I think I will use my Daemon Prince of Chaos with Wings instead of the Bloodthirster. The Bloodthirster is about as many points as The Lion, and I would not bring The Lion to Secret Santa!
The Bloodthirster will have to stick to AoS for a little while longer...

Sorry I had another question for list building. As we are playing 1000 pts will we be using rules of 3 or rules of 2 for data sheets? I wanted to make sure I didn't mess that up again :/

I believe in 10th it's only "rule of three" regardless of game size, however I might be mistaken on this.

So an important announcement about this tournament:
We now have 30 paid attendees, and 7 unpaid... I've talked with Nexus tonight and we've expanded to 40 but that is a hard cap and we cannot go above that (just gets way too uncomfortable back there - but at least it's winter!)
Paid spots are the ONLY guaranteed spot.
If you are unpaid, and 40 people pay, unfortunately you will not be able to attend.
This will absolutely fill up (technically we were already over our 36 cap if you count people who did not pay) as there's just over a month to go.
If you want your spot and you haven't paid... get into Nexus and pay.
We only have so many spots - don't lose yours!

-Checks list- Huh, I paid for my slot at the store this Saturday but I don't appear to be listed on the site.
