I assume 40K tournies alternate with WFB, so next one possibly in August?

Next one will be early September I believe (though possibly early August) as I'm running Fan Expo in late August in Toronto.

Rgr that. Are there any tourney types that are easier / quicker to set up and run than others? Or are they all pretty much the same in that regard?

All generally the same. Only thing is that a doubles tourney requires half as many tables, which makes set up easier. Other than that it's simply sign ups (which Nexus is handling now) and writing up scenarios.
