Battle reports are a great way to help learn from our mistakes, and showcase tactics for others to benefit from... and we have this brand new edition to learn!
so what better way to get into the swing of things and get a big pool of tactical knowledge than to have a contest amongst all the imperium and xenos to see who shall rule the galaxy...
Alright... here's how the contest works: Start date is NOW!
Step One: Play a game of 40k...
you can play any army... allies or not it doesn't matter, but only your primary army counts for scoring (they just got a little help from their friends!)... keep track of what happened during this game... turn by turn is nice and helpful... you can even take a picture or two if you're so inclined...
Step Two: write it down...
This is not as hard as it seems.. most battle reports can be written in a fairly short time... if you want to write a big long narrative with all kinds of cool action that's great... if you give the coles notes version that's just fine too... totally up to you
Step Three: post your write up in this thread...
That's easier than even step two! (copy + paste = win!) And make sure you say who won okay???
Step Four: Profit
We're going to see what army rules the galaxy. If you played dark eldar and you beat some sisters of battle silly, you earn one win for the dark eldar. one win = 1 point. At the end of the competition, the army with the most points wins the galaxy. Cool prize eh? yeah, I thought so too... name me one other contest that lets you win an entire galaxy?

Clockwork Necrons vs. Iron Hands KP(or whatever it's called now) and Pitched Battle... I mean dawn of war... I'll never get totally used to that Warlord traits are super useless for both of us... FNP near an objective! awesome! too bad it's a KP game! Necrons win the roll and deploy with warrior squads and immortals at the back, bubblewrapping the doomsday ark and stalkers just in case the marines seize and drop melta in my face. The wraiths were the front line with the meat shields... whoops destroyer lords... taking the lead. tomb blades took a central position to jet over somewhere useful. The marines deployed in ruins, taking a defensive position with their super-awesome-forgeworld guns pointed in my general direction. The thunder fire and devestators were all in defended ruins thanks to those stupid tech marines (3+ cover is annoying to get through!) and the special character dude (forget his name) and hit squad of marines hiding out again in ruins. Predator at the back, drop pods waiting to jump in. Dany does not seize, and the necrons move forward. The doomsday ark does it's business and evaporates a couple of devastators (hit the whole group directly but their cover saves were ace) tomb blades turbo-boosted up to get into position, wraiths jumped up and prepared to eat plasma and lascannons. One barge moves to a better position, and one unloads on a super-cool-forgeworld lascannon, killing one in a flurry of tesla-goodness. Too bad there were still a couple left in the squad!!! Dany unloads on me turn one, and the vets drop in a defended position, preparing for the incoming wraiths. Dany's rolls took a bit of a dive here, but he still managed to grab a kill point AND first blood by blowing a destroyer lord to smithereens. Sometimes you roll double one's when you want to look out sir. He moves out with his squad and character with FIVE power fist attacks (yikes!) to eat my wraith squad that lost their destroyer lord but rolls poorly and doesn't make the charge. The wraiths take the charge on the squad and character, hoping to get lucky on the saves to not get doubled-out with every hit (something has to stop that guy!). The wraiths make their save and thus begins an incredibly long fight which goes throughout the whole game... the wraiths deal a casualty here and there, and occasionally one drops, but both sides being fearless means this becomes very drawn out. Dany wisely tries to keep the fists alive as long as possible, but rolls double one's eventually for his super-dude and the wraiths rend him out. The other unit of wraiths takes out the devestators then eats a crapton of combi-plasma... the d-lord is down to one wound and the squad gets down to three wraiths (two of them wounded) when they finally reach the vets. I send the d-lord after the predator (who blew up a barge) and the warscythe rips it apart. The wraiths get stuck in with the vets, but just are too depleted to take them out... within a couple combat turns the vets are victorious (but by this point it was near game end so they moved back more defensively to preserve their kill point) Dany's other drop pod came in within striking distance of the stalker, and you gotta love the new deployment rules.. jumped out and melta'd it to bits! the remaining stalker marked that squad and it got immortals and warriors twin linked gauss shots into it... Dany's saves were on fire for a bit... but eventually weight of fire saw the squad finished off. The captain however, was alive with a wound and went over to help the lone power fist from the original wraith fight finally kill the last wraith. The tomb blades were a massive dissapointment. Their twin linked shots were frankly not that effective... it would have just been far cheaper and more survivable to just have more immortals (same gun... and stalker made them twin linked)... with only three in the squad, all it took was a round of bolters to see them gone... (granted they were the special wound on 2+ ammo but still). Glad I tried them out before dropping the $50 on the box of three!!!! In the end, I needed one more turn to tie it up, as I had left the easy kill point drop pods alone, trying to deal with the much scarier threats on the table... but the game ended...lesson learned... in the end Dany had me on kill points... 9 to 7.... A great game that was extremely bloody... everything was hurting badly by the end! and I learned a thing or two about tomb blades and not hiding your warriors too long because you think they're vulnerable... trust the reanimation protocols... trust the gauss... Space Marines: 1

Grey knights Vs Nids Kill points, and Hammer and anvil Nids deployed and went first. Everything up as close as possible, hive guard and zoan on one flank. Come close combat fex's on the other side with gargoyles, and up the middle came a tryant with 2 tyrant guard a tervigon some gaunts and a unit of a raveners I ployed my three units of strike squads in the middle in front of my land raider (which after words I was thinking I should have had that in the front) and the flank with the fexes I had my dreadknights. Nids Turn one He moved everything up and shot at my rhino, took out one rhino from a combined effort of his hive guard and tryant shooting. (first blood nids) Grey knights turn one I moved everything up this time moving the land raider out more into the open, the other rhino kind of out of the way and the razorback over to the side were the gargoyles and the gaunts were moving towards to support the dreadknights if needed. I fire both dreaknights into the gargoyles and take out half or more of the squad, The knights that are now on foot move over and fire at the hive guard killing one. The rhino knights fire pycannons at the tyrant and his guard killing a guard. The razorback fires at something I dont remember what but I dont think it did much. Nids 2 Grey knights 0 Nids turn 2 Warriors out flank into the dreadknight side and which he didnt want they shoot at the knights and do nothing. Tervigon casts catalyst on the warriors and spawns 10 gaunts it didnt run out but that is all he had with him. He moves his gargoyles back so they wont be destoryed, and moves everything else up. Fires at the second rhino, and takes it down to one hull points. The tervigon charges the rhino and blows it up. Grey knights turn 2 Landraider moves up and drops the termies out ready to fight. Shooting takes out the rest of the hive guard but now the zoan is getting closer. The dreadknights fire into the warriors now taking a few out. Some other fire that isn”t worth noting lol. I declare a charge with my termies, his over watch does nothing, and I fail the 5.5 inch charge by .5 . I also charge with my remaning knights who are left from the razorback. I make it in. I declare a charge with the one dreadknight at the warriors (not enough room for both to fit in and since I fired at the warriors the other can't charge the fex's) he says and I quote “roll double ones” and what do I see on the dice double ones . But the knights who made it in put a wound on the tervigon and even on 3d6 im able to activate their force weapons and he gone. Nids 3 Grey knights 1 Nids turn 3 His Zoan casts, I cant remember the name but -1 str and -1 to on my terminators and I fail my 4+ deny the witch. He shoots my razorback squad down to one man. Some more shooting from the warriors into the dreadknights that do nothing. He charges the fex's into the one dreadknight and charges the raveners and his tyrant with the guard into my terminators squad. The fex's make it and one is killed pretty easy by the dreadknight ( I forget that I could have activated the doom fists and killed both right there) the other fex takes 3 wounds off the dreadknight. Two of my guys go first cause they are not in contact with the tyrant or his guard and have halberds. They do nothing cause they are str 3 now . the raveners do like 5 rending hits, killing thawn and 3 other guys I save one with the 5+ invul. The tyrand and his guard kill anouther but the libby saves two 4+ invuls. They hit back and do nothing. Grey knights turn 3 Thawn gets back up. My squad in the rhino get out to support the terminators. (mistake I made thinking that if the vehicle didnt move it they could charge. I would have just had them get out last turn tho) The knights that killed the hive guard now shoot at the zoan and kill it. I charge into the raveners with the knights that just got out of the rhino. I also charge the warriors with the dreadknight that isnt in the combat with the fex. Thawn charges the tyrant and challenges he is killed pretty easy. The fex gets killed by the dreadknight. The other dreadknight smashes 2 warriors and takes no wounds. The knights make the charge into the raveners and kill a couple but not before the libby leaving only the banner bearer. Who is killed by the last tyrant guard. Nids 7 grey knights 1 Nids turn 4 Thawn gets back up. Gaunts kill the last of the one man knight squad. Devilgaunts shoot the dreadknight to take out his last wound. The last dreadknight kills another warrior only 3 left ( dont remember when the prime died) and he take no wounds. Raveners kill some knights and the tyrant kills the last terminator. The knights kill some more raveners Grey knights turn 4 Thawn and the knight squad who killed the zoan charge the tyrant and his guard. The land raider kills the spawned gaunts with shooting. Thawn chalengers and is killed again. The one unit of knights kills the rest of the raveners and other kills the last tyrant guard. Dreadknight kills anouther warrior only 2 left still takes no wounds. Nids 7 grey knights 5 Nids turn 5 Thawn doesnt get up. Gaunts charge the dreadknight. Dreadknight kills the last two warriors and the warriors actually do one wound on him. The gaunts do nothing and they loss combat by a lot and are run down by the dreadknight. The tyrant attacks the weakend squad killing them all. The full squad attacks and puts a wound and are able to activate their weapons killing the tyrant. Grey knights turn 5 I forget to roll for thawn but its over now he only has 5 gargoyles left and we pretty much call it once I move up and we roll to see if it would continue and it would and I flamed his gargoyles down to 2. Grey Knights win. The heros are the dreadknight who are actually great against nids, since they dont have much high str ap2 shooting that kills the dreadknights easy.

The clockwork crons vs. Mephiston and his sparkly friends.... Tom wanted to try out a somewhat different list which had two big units of deepstriking vets... Meph... squad in a rhino... drop pod with dudes, and some jumpers... along with corbulo the 2+ FNP dude of awesome and typhus who has a name that sounds like he's contagious so I didn't want to get near him... I ran my clockwork necron list, using destroyers, as Tom convinced me to give them a shot, and test out their capabilities... Tom is a cruel, cruel man however and ensured that he killed them turn two so i couldn't try them out and test out their capabilities... ;D So we played on one of the big apoc tables with all the ruins (damn tippy wraiths!) and had vanguard deployment... mission was the scouring which luckily meant I had three extra scoring units... Warlord traits gave Meph a bonus when he was in my deployment, and me a bonus when I was also in my deployment zone... which wasn't going to be likely given it was an objective game and my wraiths are kind of a fast aggressive unit... Turn one to the necrons! Things started off well with a torrent of fire aimed at the jumpers and causing some casualties, and securing two objectives... well as secure as warriors can be! Tom was aggressive with his drop pod and nuked the doomsday ark with his squad. meph and the depleted jumpers moved into position, and charged the wraiths with my warlord. The sergeant bravely ate the challenge and mindshakled himself in the head with a thunder hammer which was pretty funny. Meph was a boss and wrecked two wraiths (S10 rocks!!!!) But fearless wraiths held the day. Giving out twinlinking helped tremendously over the next couple turns, which saw the rhino wrecked and the squad inside take some heavy casualites. Tom's two big vet squads dropped in right by the other wraith squad with d-lord and charged in with a crapton of attacks, taking out several of the wraiths. Meanwhile the first squad actually won combat vs. Meph and the boys, and they stood there shaking their fists in vain as they easily ran back, then regrouped automatically! I made a pretty big error by breaking off my warlord and chasing Meph, thinking if he failed mindshackles, the d-lord could stand a pretty decent chance of taking out the big guy... yeah, problem is he passed the mindshackle and pounded the d-lord into the dirt... gotta love everliving though... the d-lord got back up and into the fray.... A protracted combat in the middle of that pod unit saw the remaining wraiths go to battle, and they were eventually joined by the stalkers, who quickly ran out of targets after they melta'd Meph a few new speed holes... course Meph did waste a scoring unit of warriors off an objective first! the wraiths and d-lords really did well today, mainly with their saves... only getting a couple rends here and there, but the 3++ really works sometimes... it stalled the two big units of vets long enough that they could be whittled down... Tom made good use of challenges to dodge the mindshackle shenanigans.. but soon found himself running out of sergeants willing to take on a d-lord! in the end it was a close bloody game, and I ended by being the only one holding a lone objective... (I nearly forgot about two sneaky jumpers hiding on an objective til late game! barges sorted that out though!) Tom got first blood, linebreaker, and would have got warlord, but he was able to stitch himself back together! I ended up getting warlord, linebreaker (was kind of on the line but Tom gave it to me) and the primary objective... I was less than impressed with the doomsday ark this fight... it didn't do much at all... wonder what those destroyers COULD have done? ;D necrons: 1

Two games today. First game Grey knights vs Iron Hands Mission, the relic. Deployment, Vanguard or what ever the triangle deployment one is lol Iron hands deploy and go first. Bolsters a ruin and a forest. He puts his devastators, and reaper cannons into one ruin with a tac squad behind. A pred beside the ruin. Scouts and Tech marine with thunder cannon in the far back ruin. And last tac squad in the forest with the tech marine special character. He has two drop pods in reserve one was the one tac squads which he had deployed behind the one ruin, the other has sterngaurd. I deployed my raider in the middle with rhinos on one side and with razorback closest to me. The dreadknights on the side closest to that ruin with all his stuff behind a forest. Turn 1 Iron hands turn 1 Empty drop pods comes down near his tech marine with the thunder cannon. He shoots his reaper cannons at my land raider. Hits with all three and pens twice, with the plus two he blows it up. Not hurting anyone inside. His thunder cannon takes out rhino. This devastator squad try to move up but roll 1's for the move through cover. The predator or snipers (not 100 % sure) fire at the razorback taking it out. I don't remember what took out thawn but im pretty sure he died in turn one (may have been the pred). First blood Iron hands Grey knights Turn 1 Thawn comes back. Libby cast Pregoc I think its called the re rolls for him self, and the one where people ignores cover, I didn’t cast science because I was stupid lol. Everything moves up. Except Thawn who moves towards the relic. Termies fire at the Reapers, lots of misses (this is when I think crap why didn’t I cast the reroll power) a couple none rending wounds which he saves with armour. The dreadknights both fire their blasts and do one wound. Iron hands 1 Grey Knights 0 Iron hands turn 2 Both tac squads move up. Devastators finally get to where they are going so can't fire till next round cause they have blasts. Stern guard show up and fire everything at the the unit that came out of the razorback. With ap ammo killing the unit. Snipers take a hull point on my last rhino. Devastators finally get to where they are going so can't fire till next round cause they have blasts. Reapers all fire at the terminators with some lucky rolls and rerolls from the libby only one dies. The pred fires at Thawn killing him again. Grey knights turn 2 Thawn gets back up. Libby casts all three spells but gets double ones and takes a wound. Thawn moves and gets the relic. Terminators move up to hope to get into combat after the next round cause they wont last long with all this high str ap 2 shooting. The strike squad get out of their rhino and fire at the sternguard not doing anything. Dreadknights take out 2 reaper cannons and 2 devastators (without weapons) with their fire power. The other strike squad don’t do much ether. Iron hands 1 Grey knights 1 (not sure if you count the relic until the end or not) Iron hands turn 3 Tac squads move up. Devastators fire at the terminators and kill them all but the banner bearer. The reaper gun and the pred fire at the dreadknights doing a wound on one. Sturn guard gun down thawn. A tac squad shoots the strike squad doing some wounds. Snipers kill the last rhino. Thunder cannon does nothing. Grey knights turn 3 Thawn comes back right on the relic and grabs it and moves as fast as he can back towards my edge. My last terminator moves to intercept the stern guard. My one dreadknight shoots at the last reaper cannon and doesn’t do much. The other shoots at the tac squad. I charge both dreadknights, one at the reaper cannon and the other at the tac squad. I also charge the sterngaurd with my last terminator. Over watch does nothing in each case. The one trying to get to the reaper cannon fails, I knew it would it was 12 inchs. The one into the tac squad makes it, and the last terminator also makes it. I challenge with the dreadknight, his captain accepts and the dreadknight crushes him. The last terminator casts hammer hands to make him self str 5. He attacks and kills one or two stern guard and they finish him off. Iron hands 2 (libby's dead ) Grey knights 0 Iron hands Turn 4 Everything ether shoots the last dreadknight not in combat or the one strike squad I think there is only one strike squad by now. (the one may have assaulted the tech marine last turn but im not sure there was one left by now) the dredknight goes down. The strike squad is shoot by stern guard and a few are killed. The super tech marine moves over to help with the dreadknght. And thawn is charged by the tac squad. Super tech marine charges and make it, the dreadknight challenges and skills the techmarine after doing one wound and activating his nemesis doom fists. Thawn challenges, but the Sargent with power fist declines and thawn takes out one marine. Grey knights turn 4 The strike squad left shoots and charges the sternguard. They do a couple wounds but the sterngaurd whip them out. The dread knight challenges again and the Sargent accepts and the dreadknight smashes him. Thawn challenges and the Sargent accepts thing time and thawn fails to hit. The Sargent smashes him with his power fist. Iron hands 2 Grey knights 1 Iron Hands turn 5 Thawn gets back up. Tac squad move over and grab relic. Stern guard shoot up thawn with their 2+ wounding ammo, (they are out of combi plasma) and kill him again, they are getting pissed that he will never die by now lol. Dreadknight kills a couple tac squad guys and they do nothing to him. Nothing else has anything to shoot at. Grey knights turn 5 Thawn gets back up. Shoot and charges the tac squad so they drop the relic. Kills one or two and he sticks in combat. The dreadknight kills a couple tac and there is one left but they stay in combat. We roll to see if it continues and roll a one so it ends final score Iron hands 2 Grey knights 1. Iron hands win. And Thawn dies and comes back 6 times lol if it continued the only way I could have won is if thawn died on his turn and I grabbed the relic and then it ended. He killed my stuff pretty fast until I was in close combat.

Game 2 Grey knights vs space wolves (with guard)
Mission, crusade d3 +2 objectives we get 1 + 2, deployment hammer and anvil
space wolves get first turn because of barjorn or what ever his name is, and his rerolling the who gets to deploy first roll. What ever it is, I think its eldar trickery lol. So he gets to deploy and go first.
He puts a large unit of 30 something guard on an objective in a forest. Everything else on the line close to me.
I put everything on the line except a small unit of strike squad in a ruin with an objective.
Wolves turn 1
Grey hunters all move up. Leman russes fire at a rhino and wreck it. The squad gets out. Something I can't remember what kills some of the strike squad on the objective.
Grey knights turn 1
Everything moves up. I fire the assault cannon at the russes and don’t do anything, I machine spirit a hurricane bolter at the IG, also fire the razor back at the IG and kill a couple. I fire both dreadknights at the russes, and destroy one. The strike squad that was in the rhino that was wreaked moved up. The other one gets out of their rhino and fire at something I think the Grey hunters.
Wolves 1 ( first blood) Grey knights 0
wolves turn 2
Bajorn moves up. Grey hunters get out. And all fire at the Grey knights killing quite a few. The terminators move up and fire cyclone missiles and don't do much. The plasma cannon from Bajorn fires at the last guy on the one objective and kills him. His Russ fires at the razorback and does nothing.
Knights turn 2
I move the raider up and my terminators get out. I move my dreadknights down to help with the Grey hunters cause right now its 1 hurt squad verses 3 Grey hunter squads. I move the other squad on the far end up. I fire some stuff but nothing does too much. I charge with the one unit of strike squads on the bottom into a unit of Grey hunters, and I charge my terminators into the Russ, and two chimeras. And I charge the dreadknight into a rhino which still has the Grey hunters in it. I make all the charges and don’t loose anything in over watch. The terminators try to cast some spells but his priest cancels them all. I destroy the Russ and a chimera anyway. His Grey hunters get counter attack and I kill a few but he kills my squad. The dreadknight take out the rhino.
Wolves 1 knights 0
wolves turn 3
all the Grey hunters move to all fire at the one dreadknight, his terminators move to take on the other dreadknight. The IG shoot the last strike squad and kill them down to 3. He moves bajorn up to take on my terminators. Bajorn and some flamers take out some terminators including the libby. With some shooting the three Grey hunter squads take out the dreadknight. The terminators shoot and don’t do much to the other dreadknight. He charges with bajorn and with the terminators. Bajron takes out all the terminators but one with a hammer who whiffs and the terminator runs around the land raider. The dreadknight challenges the priest but he declines when he remember that my first can instant kill. The dreadknight kills a couple terminators and they stay in combat.
Knights turn 3
we call it there cause of time but I didn’t have much left and barely any troops and he had 4.
wolves win

No problem. They aren't the best and i may have messed up one or two things. but i thought i should post them. the one with Danny was so funny Thawn would die from stray bolter fire and couldn't make his 2+ save to literally save his life but he always made his 4+ to come back lol. his terminater armour must be like swiss cheese lol

Iron Hands (Dany) VS Space Wolves/ Guard (Ray) Mission Capture and Control (I don’t know the new name) Deployment normal 12 inches
Ray gets to go first ( Damn Bjorn). 30 guardsman platoon with 3 autocannon are going in a ruin where is objective is. 2 demolisher in a squadron protect Bjorn and Grey hunter rhino on the left side of that ruin. He also puts his guard command squad in a chimera beside Bjorn. On the right side of that big ruin he puts 3 rhino with Grey Hunter and 5 terminators with a rune priest.
I put my objective behind my only ruin in my deployment zone. My devastator is on top of the ruin with my Vaylund tactical on the bottom hiding and protecting my objective. My 3 rapier are behind a hill with sniper in front of them to give them a better cover. My thunderfire is on top of a building and my predator is behind that building. Ray warlord trait is +1 charge distance and mine is I can decide NF if I want but we already roll for NF anyways. I don’t try to steal because it’s NF and I hope to see him doing a movement mistake and giving me an opening for my 3 melta coming in Drop Pod.
Turn 1
Ray moved a bit with his demolisher and one rhino with Grey hunter is going in between the ruin and a tower. Since its NF and all my stuff is in cover I’m pretty confident I won’t have a lot of damage. He shoots on my thunderfire cannon with his 3 autocannon. One save to do with 2 + cover and of course I roll a 1! Both demolisher shoots my devastator. One miss and one hit killing 2 of my devastators no plasma cannon hurt so I’m happy. His Rune priest shoots at my pred and does 1 glance. My melta tactical with my captain is coming. My plan is to drop right in front of his demolisher and fire 3 melta at them with +1 to chart will give me + 3 totals. My drop pod decided to scatter far away so I have to change my plan. Captain and tactical will end up running in a small ruin for cover. My pred will destroy his rhino and explosion will kill one guy Yay! First blood! haha. My rapier will open fire at his demolisher stunning one of them. My thunderfire will shoots at his wolves now out of the rhino to kill 4 more. My devastator will try to destroy command chimera near my tactical in his zone to protect them but fail.
Turn 2
Ray really wants to kill my tactical in his zone which his normal. His chimera turns towards that squad. He also brings his warlord Bjorn and 10 grey hunter. One rhino is moving by the side to come get my pred and thunderfire cannon. His 30 guard platoon is still comfortable in the ruin protecting his objective. He puts 4 flamers + heavy flamer + all grey hunter squad at my tactical in cover and kill 5 of them including my Sgt with power fist. I have 4 normal marine left with my captain. Bjorn shoot at them aswell but miss with his plasma cannon and no casualty with his HF. His Rune priest will kill my thunderfire cannon with psychic power. One demolisher will fire at my devastator but won’t kill any. They are now two separate units because Ray move the one not stunned away. He will charge with Bjorn in the ruin. I’m in cover so it’s gonna be simul to my captain. Bjorn kills the four marines left so there is only my captain. He decide to be a hero and punch Bjorn in the face I roll a 6 to pen. Ray miss his cover and I roll a 4 to penetrate. Good thing I’m Zhurkal and add plus one to my damage chart so it’s an explosion. I roll a 6 to get out of the ruin and position myself behind his demolisher.
For my second turn, I roll my Sternguard +3 and my plan is to sacrifice them at the cost of killing his guards. I drop right behind to make sure I will be able to focus fire and kill as many as possible with no cover and lucky me all the Sgt and commissar are part of that group. My plan works and kill 17 guards with 2 combi-flamer and special ammunition 2+ poison. He will pass his LD test so there is still 13 guards I need to kill who will stand up to do that! You will know in my assault phase haha. So I manage to stun his command chimera again cant destroy that thing and stun one of his demolisher aswell. So Zhurkal was supposed to go for demolisher but now his mission is to kill rest of guards. He charges kill 2 and that’s enough to scare the rest.
Turn 3
Ray will kill my Vets easily with his demolisher and terminator. He also destroy my pred with his GH charging. All the rest will fire at Zhurkal becaue I guess he is sick of seeing him destroy everything. He will kill him with a snap shoot storm bolter (Damn snap shoot) haha. I will try to destroy is demolisher but fail again with my rapier. I stunned his chimera again with my 4 plasma cannon.
Turn 4 Nothing important happen in turn 4 on both side other than Ray destroying my 2 drop pod.
Turn 5
Ray make sure he brings his 2 GH left over to his objective and his platoon officer aswell. His other GH squad secure Bjorn to have an extra VP. So now it’s 3 for his objective + 1 for having a squad in my zone + 1 for Bjorn.
I have 3 for my objective + 1 for FB + 1 for warlord. I don’t want to tie that game so I decided to move my tactical with Vaylund has fast has possible to his zone and my sniper will take care of protecting my objective.
Turn 6 Ray will put everything including two demolishers on my tactical. He will kill 7 marine and 2 W on my warlord. My devastator try to kill his junior officer and kill 2 there is 3 left. My rapier kills his 2 GH.
Turn 7 He will kill my Warlord so it’s now up to the 3 guardsman or it’s a tie. I fire all my plasma and 12 W for Ray to save. He goes to ground and one survived! I can’t believe it! It’s now up to LD test which he fails of course its guard! Haha
Awesome game was so close at the end Iron Hands wins but with not much left on the table.
