Sons are still underway, the robes are getting finished slowly but surely on the first squad. I got a pair of Sturmkonig from Dust Tactics to use as a proxy for an army idea I had with knights and astra militarum allies. Here's a few shots of it next to a rhino, it's pretty much spot on for the overall size of a Russ, it's a bit taller and I may have to modify the guns on it so they're a more manageable size to represent the Russ Exterminators.

Point values updated as the first 8 thousand sons have joined the ranks of the painted. They’re not based yet as I’m still working out my scheme for basing. I’ll try to get some closeups of them this evening for critiques and comments.

As promised, pictures! I’m trying to do something different than have all 5 cults in the same colored robes so I’ve devised colors and general embroidery styling for each cult. The Pyrae are in red, Corvidae are in Bone, Athaneans in Green, Raptora in Grey and the Pavoni in Blue. Since the cults were mixed within the squads during the time of the heresy, each squad will have at least one member of each except for the havocs which will all be the Athaneans and Corvidae. Furthermore, each thousand son will have their own unique embroidery pattern on their robes/ waist tabard. I imagine once I’ve gotten through more of them this goal may become more of a pain than anything but I wanted each one to have a personality of its’ own. There’s a few minor touch-ups to do to the Sun badges but for the most part I’m happy with how they’re turning out.
As always, comments and critiques are welcome.

Got a magnetized forge fiend/maulerfiend done up and he should be gracing a table near Belleville sometime soon! The only options not magnetized were the ectoplasma cannons and the ectoplasma head, all other options can be swapped on the fly.

Autocannon Havocs and their squad leader were completed last night, totals updated and the march to finish the Thousand Sons begins anew! Today I'm beginning to model the helbrutes.

Necrosius joins the ranks of the painted models. I won’t be fully painted for the charity tournament but thanks to the zombies I’ll be well over half! Pictures to follow. Painted total for the year just now turned up to 2153 points. By the end of the year I hope to have that just about doubled to 4153.

I'm pleased to say that there's only 5 more models to modify/sculpt for my Thousand Sons. The dreadnoughts are getting ready for paint as we speak!
