Took my self out of the tournament, due to concussion. Feeling better than a few days ago. But know I won’t be able to do all day Sunday. Hope you all give Nighthaunts a hell of a time.... hate those guys. Take it easy brother concussions are serious matters, hoping you have no long term issues.

I am humbled, it was a hard fought series, but I'm most happy with the turn out, and the support of the dice-gods.
The main take from it in my opinion was round length for 2000pts was short with little to no games making it to round four. Either lower point army sizes or longer rounds unfortunately :/ Another comment I have heard was the prize pool could've encompassed all of the grand alliances, but I'm not complaining about my share of the loot.
Thank you so much for hosting again Shannon, I'll always try to make it down from Ottawa to play at these events. Looking forward to our summer special, and maybe adding another trophy to the shelf!
(capital city bloodbath is about a 10 minute walk from my house by the way)

as per the prize pool (as this at times comes up at various tournies): Mike does all the prizes before the tourney based on the dollar amount gained from entry fees. The dollar amount of the prize pool was actually higher than the fees generated by the tourney as there was only 12 players and $200+ worth of prizes. But I can certainly talk to him next time about spreading it around the four grand alliances more, that way there's something for everyone. (as order was missing from this batch I realize - destruction, death and chaos were represented - with three of the six prizes brand new kits).
I agree that the time was a little short. We had a couple players who said right from the get go they had to leave early, which is why round 1&2 were shortened to make sure we didn't suddenly have drops (when we were well on track that's why I extended round 3). Bigger tournies I couldn't accommodate that of course, but figured there were so few of us. In hindsight I should have just put 15 extra minutes on each round instead...would have been a little tighter time wise, but at least it would have spread it out more. So completely agree on that part! Will be rectified for next time for sure!
I'm super glad everyone came out for the tourney! Have been wanting to have the numbers for tournies again for AOS for a while now. Plus it's great to have an event where my grandson can come out and play and have fun and roll some dice in a super friendly and supportive environment. In my opinion the young players are the future of the game (no pressure Zach, Taylor and Noah! lol) so the more open and friendly we can all be, the stronger and better the community will be for everyone!

Glad to hear it went well. Would have loved to go but, as with most of the tournaments, it didn't fall on a kid free weekend and it was also my brother-in-law's birthday weekend so had to be at the in-laws for the day.
I'm hoping to start attending again some time soon. Of course that also means I need to find some time to get stuff assembled and painted.
As to the future of the game, I've got my fingers crossed my little guy will take a liking to Warhammer when he's older 😊

I had a great time and thanks for organizing. All of my opponents were fun, and a special shout-out to my first opponent (Nurgle Matt) who patiently guided me through the rules! I am new to Age of Sigmar, and this might have set the hook.
I learned tons, and the vibe at the tourney was good. I am not about to sell my 40k collection, but AoS has been a nice change of pace.
Looking forward to the next one! I have Thursday night commitments, but my late Spring might open up and if so you will see me there at Nexus to get a little slicker with my Stormcast dudes.
Cheers,
