I’ve been wanting to build this army for awhile and have been able to acquire almost 2000pts for less than $200 and some trades. imgur.com/gallery/ybq0MHeAngron is a Chaos Lord in terminator armour with two chain fists. I built three regular Chaos Lords and a Warp Smith. Mark IV armour is bezerkers. Mark III is going to be Chaos Marines and Havocs. I have Some jump pack marines for Warp Talons and I kit bashed scouts and WHFB Chaos Marauders for cultists. I think the cultist came out great, the gladiator look works perfectly for World Eaters.

Very cool. I'm a big fan of pre-Heresy armour marks in CSM armies.
For Angron, might I recommend running him as a Daemon Prince with two sets of Malefic Talons? I think the statline would better suit his Primarch nature - twice as many attacks, a few extra wounds, and a bunch more toughness and movement. Plus, he still provides the same (actually, it's better) aura as the Chaos Lord.
I've also liked using Angron as Skarbrand, if you run any allied Daemons. Nothing screams "Khorne" to me like an aura that gives allies AND enemies a bonus attack, as well as making it hard for enemies to fall back.

Agreed on the gladiator bit; especially seeing as how that's what Angron was before the emperor found him, it's a perfect homage to their chapter history.
Also, BIG props for the pre-heresy look, "modern" CSM rules. I know how you feel when you say you don't like the mutated CSM look, I feel the same about my Thousand Sons, but less so Death Guard...
Looks great so far, it'll be an inspiring site on the table when they're all finished I feel.

I hadn’t thought of running him as a Demon Prince that’s a great idea! Thanks

It feels fluffy, looks good and didn’t cost and arm and a leg. I don’t mind the Death Guard models they have a ton of detail.

I don’t mind the Death Guard models they have a ton of detail. Almost too much! I like them for the detailing; I dislike them because there's no room left for free-hand. They're basically paint-by-numbers now with little to no area for embellishments that YOU as the modeller want. They're now all based on what GW wants you to paint.

I’ve been getting a lot of world eaters painted up to the point I need to put transfers on. I’ll be post a bunch at the end of the month. I can’t order the transfers until Forge World opens back up. So I took a little break today and did some colouring with my daughter. imgur.com/gallery/maihjy9

Finally got some transfers. I’m using Teclis Blue and Drakenhof Nightshade for the blue. One coat of ‘ardcoat, transfer and then two coats of Lahmia Medium. I’ve gotten 5 models done per day the last two days. I’m hoping to keep up this pace. imgur.com/gallery/Adfk0Nz

I like the progress, if I could offer a suggestion on the painting.
World Eaters are brutal, they’ve always been brutal and will always be that way as well. Much like the Death Guard, they weren’t all flowery about their appearance. If you primed them with a bone color, thick edge of white, then ink down like you have been, you’ll get a bunch of extra depth to the white areas. To punch up the battle-heartiness of your units, maybe consider some sponge chipping on the edges of their greaves, pauldrons, areas that they’d be knocking around other pieces, etc. it’s a quick effect that really adds to the depth of the model.
That said, I love the scheme, I’m a sucker for Pre-Heresy colors on Chaos units. I’ve said it before, but I feel like everyone with a pre-Heresy scheme army should all get together sometime and put the “might of the Astartes” on display to send in to GW as a shoutout from our area.
