Yea they're one of the worst teams in blood bowl, it's considered a joke to play them, I've heard playing them is like playing bloodbowl on hard mode

Welp, so much for hoping the release might inspire some interest in playing.

Halflings are a hard team to win with; and if that's your goal, then perhaps this team isn't for you.
However, if you want to challenge yourself or play with the intent to have some fun, Halflings and Goblins are great and I love both teams.
It is a shame I live no where near Kingston anymore, or I would join you on the pitch.
The majority of the games I get in now are on the computer, which, though fun, really makes you miss the feel of the dice in your hand.

Agreed! While (as an example) TableTop Sim is a wonderfully powerful engine, it still does not come close to actually rolling the dice, one's self.

I have heard of TableTop Simulator and its ability to mimic (quite well even) board games. But I've grown quite accustomed to Cyanide's Blood Bowl game which frequently goes on sale for a hell of a lot cheaper than I put into it.

Understandable, really. If I ever rebuild my PC I will certainly be looking in to picking BB up, as it certainly does not seem like there is interest to play the board game, down at the shop. Besides, when would be a good time to do it, even? The week is booked up with various other activities.

The smallest league I was in was five guys in a friend's basement which lasted for several months.
If you can find the dedicated players, location is secondary.

I wonder where I could meet people who might be interested in playing? Maybe putting up a flyer at Nexus?
There are several boxes, back on the demo shelves. If folks want to try the game, it is totally within the realm of possibility. The rules are real quick to pick up and gameplay is swift. A real neat little bit of positioning strategy and GW humour.

It is a game that can be quite easy to learn, yet hard to master. But that mainly depends on what team you've decided to play with and if it is a good fit for you. A lot of the teams have some flexibility and can be made in more ways then one and still be viable.
If the "big game" of Blood Bowl is keeping people away, perhaps drawing them in with Blitz Bowl might work. I know a few people see that as the gateway to Blood Bowl.
But flyers and demo days always have some impact, so that is definitely worth a shot.

The new Halflings have arrived, down at Nexus.
It seems there is also a pair of Treemen in the used bin.
