Hmm, should we make a specific 'looking for partner thread? That way this thread can be kept open for official rules questions etc while people that are interested in the tournament can start finding partners. good idea... you should do that In the tournaments section or general 40k?

Rule verification. At 1000 points we can only bring 2 of the same data sheet?
If I bring a vehicle squadron (Astra militarum) of three units does it count as a single datasheet for all vehicles?
Example 6 Sentinels in a squadron counts as one datasheet even though after deplpyment they count as individual?

Common ones are: Russ tanks Carnifex Any artillery Armiger knights I'm sure there are a couple too that are pretty common. Also HQ versions and non are different sheets too. So yes you could be facing up to 5-7 of a model at 1000 pts. Ex. 6x russ and 1x russ commanders(think this is over 1000 pts but is a good example)

Speaking of, how are the turns going to work; each team moves, shoots etc at the same time?

Speaking of, how are the turns going to work; each team moves, shoots etc at the same time? Yes for all intent and purpose you and your partner are a 2000 army, you play the same way you would a 1v1 2000 pt game but there are 2 people controlling the list. so one whole side goes then the other. in fact for speed unless it is a critical r wait to see if you kill X you can roll your attacks with one player while your partner roll their with the other.
