Even if the Praetorians get a point drop, I still don't see them being very useful. Necrons are all about the characters giving the buffs to a given dynasty (aside from a special character). Praetorians miss out on a ton of the rerolls, buffs etc that just about every other Necron infantry unit gets.
So while a point reduction is nice, the unit itself needs a bit of reworking.

They might have the toughness of a lychguard (without the invul possibility) but in terms of damage output they kind of suck. At most they do three points of damage in melee with the voidblades and even less at range.
If I want melee guys (that would by nature be splitting from the main gunline/blob) I'd take a wraith squad.

Interesting. With the point changes Orikan is just ten points more than a normal Chrono Cryptek. Downside is that he can't take relics but on the upside he has a 6' bubble of invul that works in melee as well as ranged. How about that; Flayed Ones went down to 13. That's actually cheap enough for people to potentially try a horde of the things. And wraiths got another point drop.....I am OK with this.
Heh, silly GW. Dropping the A. Barge, Obelisk, Monolith and Deathmark costs still aren't going to make the units good.

I have a question (I can't view the link of leaks at the moment, so I can't check myself).
Do forgeworld units tend to be affected by Chapter Approved, or are their points separate?

they usually are in chapter approved but from what i see there isnt any changes, unless its separate for some reason this time.

There must be some changes in the chapter approved I just saw a pic of space marine forge world stuff. So maybe other stuff just hasn't been leaked yet.

The latter which got almost every unit dropped according to reviews. gsc seems to got some nerf batting. Chaos made out decent from what I can tell. Also looks like Tau might be slightly better after points drops. Levi had no changes it would seem, need to sell more models yet I guess .

The levithan ccw and melta cyclone or what ever it's called went down in points.
Probably to incentivize anything but storm cannons and grav flux lol

Pretty happy with Orks, looks like they are pushing the mad max theme. you are seeing deffkoptas down 10, all the buggies down 20-40%! (30-60 pts) so look for more of this I guess. Some how in the CA when all named character went down, Ghaz is still 235 which is crazy.
Tau look like they did pretty well. no nerfs at all which feel surprising, Stealth, Ghostkeels and Surges all went down a good amount, Surges might become a problem at the competitive level ( 3x will bring you in just under 1000 pts). Crisis are still in that mediocre range. I don't see tau list changing that much from the 'Optimal' build of tides, commanders, drones and markerlights.
