"For the Dark Angels, this book brings the Chapter into line with recent Space Marines updates, and also includes lots of juicy new rules content, especially for Deathwing and Ravenwing commanders.
The Grey Knights get plenty of new tricks too, including a particularly powerful new ability called Masters of the Warp, which rewards you for taking a dedicated army of Grey Knights, channelling a specific aspect of the warp to provide an army-wide bonus.
The Thousand Sons can now dedicate their Sorcerers to one of the nine Cults of the Legion – a callback to their arcane roots on fallen Prospero – providing them with a plethora of new tactical options."
All of that is awesome.

Cool! New stuff for the Sons!
I wonder what the new 4 Cults will be?

The five pre-Heresy cults are gone, leaving us with the nine post-Heresy cults:
The Cult of Prophecy The Cult of Time The Cult of Mutation The Cult of Scheming The Cult of Magic The Cult of Knowledge The Cult of Change The Cult of Duplicity The Cult of Manipulation

I'm a lore noob here but what are the chances that Mangus's big play is to return the Rubric Marines to their former glory of flesh? some sort of rewind the time stream on them 10,000 years to bodies fresh out of the gene seed, or course something goes wrong due to dark/grey interference and they come back "bigger" and changed. Was thinking this might be the logic to justify a 2 wound Rubric Marine, aka "primaris" treatment.
This would also create a physic ripple that would act as beacon to bring Russ back (lost in warp?) to lead his wolves vs T. Sons once again. Which we would learn more about in the Saga of the Beast in March.
Is this to crazy to be rooted in the lore?

Ahriman successfully reversed the Rubric in a Son, but his spell was stopped before he could finish.
Arguably, Magnus could try something similar. And really, the idea of having 2 wound Rubrics would be super sweet. I'm always down for new lore on Prospero's lost Sons.

Can't say if they're the bee's knee's or not but nothing really stood out as 'pointless' when I looked at them.

I don't know, Tide of Convergence could be really, really good on top of Recitation of Projection.
Tide of Shadows is just silly, considering how GK's play. I can already see blocks of Terminators with 1+ saves and -1 to be shot.

I don't know, Tide of Convergence could be really, really good on top of Recitation of Projection. Tide of Shadows is just silly, considering how GK's play. I can already see blocks of Terminators with 1+ saves and -1 to be shot. Though Tide of Escalation could also be pretty nasty, I mean previously I never worried that much about GK smiting since only a coupe of units ever did more then 1 mortal wound. However now with ToE said firepower is basically doubled and gives your squads a much better chance of mind-blasting apart a screen to then shoot at the characters behind.
And the Stave of Supremacy just makes things obnoxious for psyker-heavy armies. Sure it isn't guaranteed to do anything but it certainly makes every psyker casting more dangerous.
Cult of Time/Time Flux power: 5+ to bring back a destroyed cult infantry model. On an unmodified 9+ bring back 1d3. Cult of Duplicity/Warlord trait Duplicitous tactician: At the start of the first battle round but before first turn redeploy your warlord and 1d3 units. It's noted that any transports moved keep all the troops inside
Cult of Change/relic: once per turn when a psykic test is done within 18" you can change a roll from your army from a 1 to a 6. And if it's an enemy doing it you can change a 6 to a 1.
Finally there is a strat that lets one unit of Rubric marines deploy 9" away from the enemy deployment zone and enemy models.
The time flux I can see being annoying as hell particularly if you can pair the caster with high toughness+invul saves+multi-wound infantry (Scarab Occult Terminators I think?). The warlord trait would depend on the list you're making and the relic is pure troll material.
"Right six and a one. Power goes off." "Yeah about that, that six actually becomes a one thanks to my relic. Your psyker perils." "What?!"

Going to take some time to try and figure out the best utility of the new dark angel rules. Extra 6 inch range is not bad but I think I would have preferred- 1 ap. Also the wording on laz is a unit within 6 inches get 5 up for rather then Azreal wholly within. Also does not give re- roll wording yet. Not sure anything there really makes deathwing usable tournament wise. Interested in other people's take but I'm pretty neutral on new rules. Hopefully there is some cool stuff still in store for THE FIRST LEGION!

I like what I'm seeing so far for the Sons, might actually make them worth taking in a tournament setting again!
