Wow. He must be eating his wheaties. That is a huge shift from the previous model. I was hoping for the silent king to return. Hopefully that is still happening. I guess I’ll find out later this year. Still have 2 psychic awakening books to go before phaira.

Huh, I would have thought that if any Necron character got a new model, it would have been Trazyn the Infinite, as he did play a part in that gathering storm thing at the end of 7th. Then again, that is a few years back now. Still, the new model they have previewed looks awesome.

They're choosing which characters to redo based on who still has a finecast model a lot of times... the plastic kits don't tend to get an update.

If that is the case then thats great for necrons, cause Finecast came out at the same time as 6th Ed Necrons. THere are a lot of necrons Characters that are FineCast. Super excited for this model. Justin M mentioned to me that the Stats for this guy will likely go up too considering the size difference and base.

Huh, how about that; Necrons are actually going to be part of this instead of Imperium vs Clown Elves. So Sisters+Deathwatch vs Necrons vs Harlequins. Though Szeras is a character I've never even looked at. He's a named cryptek that isn't in a dynasty (meaning there is virtually no way to give him an invul) and his only thing was randomly giving +1 Strength, Toughness or BS to a group of warriors or immortals. Orikan is just better all around. Hopefully at the very least they give him an invul now. As for the teased power, can't we just have a deny the witch or minuses to psychic tests within X area. The doubles thing is interesting but it doesn't stop things from going off, has a rather small AoE (won't even protect against deep-striking pykers) and I've seen psychic-focused factions having a good bunch of rerolls that don't need CP.
Edit: And apparently this model is going to be pretty massive. Chapter Master Valrak mentioned that in the stream, Szeras is going to be on the equivalent of a dreadnought base.

I'm totally getting him.. he's too cool not to...lol
When a model gets that beefed up the stats change pretty much every time I can think of so I'm sure this will be similar... probably 8-9 wounds as they don't often lose character protection with the upgrades (at least the space marine versions). I'm looking forward to what they'll do with the guy!
