Okay, thought the first one kinda worked out alright, so can run another if people want to!
Just thought I'd throw up a thread to see what people liked about this and what they didn't.
If you didn't take part, would you be interested in the next one? if not is there something that is a barrier? (maybe we can help)
put up a poll looking for some basic questions, however if we can get some feedback in this thread it would help me tremendously!
thanks!

I enjoyed the tts. I did find games were longer than I anticipated. It’s not the same as physically moving your models. But since I allocated the afternoon or night to the game I could play a full game. And the games were not confined to 2.5 hours. But the time did go by quickly. I really enjoyed making a list with models I don’t have. That was nice. For those who did not play against I brought 79 snipers. I greatly enjoyed the tactical objectives. That game felt fun. Different. And the 2019 chapter approved missions were a nice change from the standard 6. Improvement. Maybe have pre-made maps for each mission that people could use. So that it is more standard for people. There are some cool maps out there. Happy to assist with that. I don’t like the idea of Shannon paying. For the gift certificate. Maybe do a pot prize. Finding ways to get the money to Shannon might be an issue. But honour system might be a thing. I’m happy to offer up 20 Necron warriors. I enjoyed socializing with people I know but can’t see. It’s nice to interact with people I don’t live with. Looking forward to the next one.

I really enjoyed it.
It was great to play people again. The games did take longer as well as trying to set up games and such.
My match with colin we found it took a long time to set up the malestrom mission since you had to go thought the cards and such.
79 sniper, oh god i had 30 but 79 crazy. lol

I had a blast and definitely will play again in the next one!
As I suggested before: each of us chipping in $5 - $10 for a gift card would be a great way to support Nexus after they couldn't do business as usual.
I agree with the idea of premade tables, there are some really great boards that have all kinds of preset terrain and features.
Also, I would like to see games won with points.

alright... I think I'm starting to see a pattern...
So points over W/L/D seem to be a winner... I'll just do certain points for win/tie/loss and secondaries like a regular tourney... will make the spread a little bigger so can help with scoring, especially on three games, which again people seem to prefer.
I agree the games are longer with TTS, which is why I tried giving several days to complete a game, rather than say "okay, this saturday three TTS games in a row" which is a little much.
I played the 79 snipers... it was super scary
I probably should have clarified more in the poll, but "FREE only" would mean no prizes... cuz the last one came out of my pocket, but I'm not sure I want that to be a trend...lol
Thinking $5 entry per person, so nothing even remotely expensive... then maybe depending on interest can have a first/second/third prize if that works? (ie: 12 people at $5 each could mean $30 for first, $20 for second, and $10 for third place?). Probably just set up an e-transfer... seems easy.
Gift certificates would be easiest for prizes to organize (mainly because I can just buy them ahead of time, have them sit at Nexus and give Mike the names, which is what I did this time).
I'm thinking having three tables that everyone downloads would be a good idea. I played one table which I thought was completely terrible with basically no LOS for my whole army turn one... was not impressed with that map in the least. But there's some really good ones out there, and I'm always game for having more tables!
I prefer the pre-set terrain ones for this type of tourney, just so that things are set up fairly for both players. If we narrow down the tables beforehand everyone can be prepared.
I'm a huge fan of the chapter approved missions. Will likely stick with them for next time, and include a maelstrom again.
Just my two cents at least.

I have entirely come around on maelstrom. We could use maelstrom for all three matches so that people can kind of pick their secondaries? Makes tracking points for the event easy too

Just a thought because the games tend to go long what would people think about lowering the points? 1500?

alright... some clear decisions can be made on some parts:
1. Three Games 2. Points per game rather than W/L/D 3. Gift certificate for prizes 4. small fee ($5) to fund the prizes (which will be determined via how many entrants we have)
So I'm going to delete that poll and put up another on preferred point size

Looking at setting this up soon... if you can please vote on the preferred size of game poll above, this would help tremendously (as I cannot really set up the tourney until I know this piece!)
