I wonder if it'll be two books like last year.

I wonder if it'll be two books like last year. Thinking they'll probably do the same thing, with a small book for the point updates.

This is a thing that caught my attention. It will likely be some time before I'm ready for a game anyway, but apparently the AoS gaming book is a thing?
I understood it to be a combo of the big rule book, general's handbook, and the endless spell books. Is this the second book you mentioned? I'd love to be able to have all of my rules in one place if possible, and not miss out on a supplement somewhere.
Right now I have the 2nd ed rule book and a battletome. Seems like there's a lot more out there for different realms and such that any army can take advantage of.

probably the most important book for AOS after your battletome (even more than the core rulebook) is the latest general's handbook... it's around $30 and has all updated points for all the armies, as well as all the updated missions.
super handy book and well worth picking up... however I'd wait til the one from this year launches! (since it should be in the next week or two)

Was definitely holding off until the new one was released, was just wondering if I also needed to get malign sorcery and anything else for relics/traits/whatever else people use to build armies. Or will all of that be in the handbook for 2020?

I read somewhere that realm rules (in particular artifacts) are being jettisoned from matched play as if this GHB, so based on that I would think Malign Sorcery will have become a completely optional supplement mostly useful for the spells.

I generally only use the general's handbook... to be brutally honest I don't even own the core rulebook...lol
