Rats, I thought While We Stand We Fight was unit not model. Well, scratch that.
The rest of it was just thinking about those 5 spare points, if you don't think you'd want your Tfex in combat then it's not worth it for sure. I was more thinking he could be sneaky and use his charge as a way to move while standing still. (Stand still, spray acid, charge something, punch it, even if opponent falls back you've "moved" for free, if you're still there or opponent stays in combat you just continue to spray acid all over them. Seems like a great tactic for playing near an objective to me. Situational of course, but hilarious.)

Oh I can throw toxin sacs on the tyrant or something with the few extra points... it's not like I ever remember it though...lol.
my plan with the spray-fex is to sit him on a midboard objective and just present the opponent with a "kill me at ranged before you get close or eat flamer" choice... should draw some fire I'd think.
I find running nid monsters is similar to running daemon monsters... a whole lot of points for the toughness/wounds you get, but still die to a few lascannon shots, or get punked first turn by an invictor warsuit. my test game on TTS of all bloodthirsters vs. Jason's melee dreadbash list was very telling... I'd be trading a 250 point thirster for a 120 point dred all game... guess who ran out of models first? lol

+ Troops +
Horrors [4 PL, 80pts] 10x Pink Horror: 10x Coruscating flames Horrors [4 PL, 50pts]: 10x Pair of Brimstone Horrors Horrors [4 PL, 50pts]: 10x Pair of Brimstone Horrors
+ Elites +
Exalted Flamer [3 PL, 60pts] 6 Flamers [6 PL, 138pts]: 6 Flamers [6 PL, 138pts]:
+ Fast Attack +
Screamers [3 PL, 78pts] 3x Screamer: 3x Lamprey bite
+ Heavy Support +
Soul Grinder [10 PL, 190pts]: Mark of Tzeentch, Warpsword

Magnus the Red [24 PL, 465pts]: Glamour of Tzeentch, Warptime, Weaver of Fates
++ Total: [101 PL, 6CP, 1,999pts] ++
So the horrors sit around doing actions and trying to be alive for a while. Flamers and screamers are pushing onto objectives... the prince and the exalted LOC's are going to be driving into the enemy along with Magnus-the-dies-first-turn... exalted flamer will plink shots with his pretend lascannon
I'll just take random powers on the LOC's because sure most are very army specific but - Tzeentch!

Tested out the rebuild of the nid kronos list today... worked really well (to be fair, Corey's dice abandoned him though so it's likely not a true test of what it can do). So I liked it and the real surprise was zoanthropes... a unit of six is pricey for sure (270 points) but what a tarpit. Just sit there, bonking their heads uselessly in combat, but still able to smite quite effectively to plink off mortals and just not die. They've really sat on my shelf for a long time (neurothropes were always in my lists, but no zoans since about 5th edition!)
Corey's raven guard were really good at hammering me into my deployment zone and making it so I could not push forward. The rippers/lictor and eventually the zoans were quite useful in this role, even while the big bugs couldn't really do a whole lot.
Hive guard of course are all stars... and the Malceptor, although he died turn one... is going to be a staple of the list just for that strat of making enemy shots -1 strength... that big unit of aggressors scouting up though, even wounding on 6's with the strat, made short work of him. But he ate a LOT of fire.
I think it has potential and I'm going to playtest it further.

it would literally so I could try some cool airbrush techniques I've been meaning to learn. The wraith models have all kinds of smooth surfaces, ways to get cool fades, and maybe some stenciling. Seems an expensive way to practice... but I've built armies based on less. Just really have no idea if this list is good at all (doesn't have to be top tier at all, but maybe not GSC level of bad)
Plus they're all dead eldar. And you all know how much I love it when eldar die.

And in this list, they'd be dying ALL OVER AGAIN! I know right? only thing better than killing an elf is killing it twice! I mean, technically speaking if the wraith body is destroyed they can just put the soulstone in another wraith. So they can die basically infinity times over.

I don't know.... I just don't know why I try to make nearly 800 points of abberrants work, but here goes:
++ Battalion Detachment -3CP (Tyranids - Genestealer Cults) [80 PL, 8CP, 1,615pts] ++
Cult Creed: The Bladed Cog (everything gets a 6++ invul or improves by 1, infantry can move/shoot heavy weapons with no penalty)
+ Stratagems +Grandsire's Gifts [-1CP]: 1 Extra Sacred Relic
+ HQ +
Abominant [6 PL, 110pts]: Mark of the Clawed Omnissiah (because having a 3++, healing D3 wounds/turn, reducing incoming damage by 1 and having 5+FNP seems pretty decent)
Acolyte Iconward [3 PL, 60pts] (for rerolling 1's on the abby's FNP)
Magus [5 PL, 85pts]: Power: Might From Beyond (+1 strength/attacks), Power: Psychic Stimulus (advance and still charge)
+ Troops +
Neophyte Hybrids [4 PL, 90pts] . 5x Neophyte Hybrid: 5x Autogun, 5x Autopistol, 5x Blasting Charges . 2x Neophyte Hybrid (Grenade): 2x Autopistol, 2x Blasting Charges, 2x Grenade Launcher . 2x Neophyte Hybrid (Mining): 2x Autopistol, 2x Blasting Charges, 2x Mining Laser . Neophyte Leader: Autogun, Autopistol
Neophyte Hybrids [4 PL, 90pts] . 5x Neophyte Hybrid: 5x Autogun, 5x Autopistol, 5x Blasting Charges . 2x Neophyte Hybrid (Grenade): 2x Autopistol, 2x Blasting Charges, 2x Grenade Launcher . 2x Neophyte Hybrid (Mining): 2x Autopistol, 2x Blasting Charges, 2x Mining Laser . Neophyte Leader: Autogun, Autopistol
Neophyte Hybrids [4 PL, 75pts] . 7x Neophyte Hybrid: 7x Autogun, 7x Autopistol, 7x Blasting Charges . Neophyte Hybrid (Flamer): Flamer . Neophyte Hybrid (Seismic): Seismic Cannon . Neophyte Leader: Autogun, Autopistol
+ Elites +
Aberrants [18 PL, 380pts] . 4x Aberrant (Hammer): 4x Heavy Power Hammer, 4x Rending Claw . 4x Aberrant (Pick): 4x Power Pick, 4x Rending Claw . 2x Aberrant Hypermorph (Improvised): 2x Heavy Improvised Weapon, 2x Hypermorph Tail, 2x Rending Claw
Aberrants [18 PL, 380pts] . 4x Aberrant (Hammer): 4x Heavy Power Hammer, 4x Rending Claw . 4x Aberrant (Pick): 4x Power Pick, 4x Rending Claw . 2x Aberrant Hypermorph (Improvised): 2x Heavy Improvised Weapon, 2x Hypermorph Tail, 2x Rending Claw
Clamavus [3 PL, 60pts] Kelermorph [4 PL, 80pts] Sanctus [3 PL, 65pts]: Silencer Sniper Rifle
+ Fast Attack +
Achilles Ridgerunners [4 PL, 70pts] Achilles Ridgerunner: Flare Launcher, Heavy Mining Laser, 2x Heavy Stubber Achilles Ridgerunners [4 PL, 70pts] Achilles Ridgerunner: Flare Launcher, Heavy Mining Laser, 2x Heavy Stubber
++ Patrol Detachment 0CP (Tyranids - Genestealer Cults) [19 PL, 385pts] ++
Cult Creed: The Twisted Helix
+ HQ +
Patriarch [7 PL, 135pts]: Elixir of the Prime Specimen, Power: Might From Beyond, Power: Mutagenic Deviation (selected enemy infantry is +1 to be wounded), Warlord, Warlord Trait: Biomorph Adaptation (because 8 attacks at S7, T6, 7 wounds seems almost good)
+ Troops +
20 Acolyte Hybrids [12 PL, 250pts]: Cult Icon, 8 rock saws
++ Total: [99 PL, 8CP, 2,000pts] ++
------------------------
Alright, I've never tried some of this out, which means it hasn't already failed...lol you're saying I have a chance?
... Abominant and a unit of abby's with banner support start on the board using cover, to go up the board and try not to die. Abominant tries to tank stuff as much as possible and bully characters ....blender patriarch and his acolyte buddies try to overwhelm a juicy target when they jump in. ....other big unit of abby's with the clamvus pop up for a 8" charge. ....kelermorph does what he does, but now with a 4++ invul with bladed cog ....neophytes and ridgerunners fire some inaccurate mini-lascannon shots downfield saying "shoot me! shoot me instead!" while they all move and fire without penalty ....abby's on the board get a spell from the magnus to make them work better - either might from beyond if they're in range to charge, or stimulus if they have to advance to get in range.
-------------
I have very low expectations for this. But I'm throwing it out there as a test.

I'm a little unsure about the effectiveness of the wraithknight to be honest... he'd be super fun to paint though... but for the same points I could add another wraithseer with d-cannon, a spiritseer and five more wraithblades
