this is my 2nd attempt at the vamp army.
Lord: count mannfred with sceptre de noirot (D3+9 zombies when casting Raise dead)
Heroes: Konrad von carstein necromancer with armour of night and all necro spells
necromancer with nightshroud (page 85) and Wrist of black gold (pagr86) on corpse cart with balefire
core: 25 zombies with music and SB 20 skeleton warriors with command, music and standard of everlasting death
20 skeleton warriors with command, music and banner of the dead legion 7 dire wolfs with doom wolf 5 dire wolfs 20 crypt ghouls with crypt ghost 26 zombies with music and SB
Special: 20 grave guard with command, music and icon of vengence 10 black knights music, command, and SB
Rare: varghulf 2 cairn wraiths with tomb banshee total 2399

Well first off your list is not legal. dire wolves do not count towards your core requirement, so you are short around 200 points or so...
Also banner of the dead legion can't be taken any longer as it doesn't function under 8th ed rules. (see GW FAQ on their site which specifically mentions this item)
I'm not sure what you want the necromancer to do? you have him as expensive as a vampire, but he's not very good in combat, and not very survivable.... and he's not a very good wizard, given you didn't buy him any spells beyond ION... so I'd drop him and use your points for something else...

ill have to modify the core later. and its upseting about the banner its such a good banner, and ill have to rethink my necromancer. thankyou

yep... Scott is right... bigger core blocks are needed for vamps... skeletons and ghouls should never be under 25 and zombies should not be under 40-50 if you're going to use them as a tarpit...
last week I saw a unit of 100 zombies killed by high elves in TWO rounds of combat.... imagine what they'd do to 25?

somethinyoug to think on win looking at size of uints . You got 20 ghol in 4 rack of 5 so you chago a hode of spears of 50 mini you get 11 what your leader you hit what 6 you wound 3 one is a auto worund now tha hit back 29 attack hiting what half 15 wound what 5 . ok 6 up there 10 up you wood be low by 4 .now i lit you do the math if you got 50 guil and tha got 50 .and if you can keep your uint tell the end of the game there 0 vp for the attack and have 50 is a lot better the 20 for have them last . looking what that is the one thinking the vap were good at is point del so i wood over these have 2 vap what 2 add dice to the pool wood help to that go to mrmalorian on ytude which has vode on vap in 8 th ps sorry for the spell but it is what it is

dont worry about the spelling. im new to vamp i have never seen them played. so i need huge units of core. so is special and rare that important with vamps? in my army i have 10 blackknights that could be a unit of about 75 zombies or 30 cript ghules? also my 2 cairn wraiths with tomb banshee that could be 20 more crypt ghules.

ok here a power game list for vap it arund 2300 that gave you a 100 for magic item or what nots plus you can the size of the uint so and get rad of the skeles but that up to you
p.s. these is not a freind list tho itnot a tolt got a cheese fet
lord lvl3 vp. +1 lvl ,ghuolcan, kown all of shodow,mi. earth rod ( the rod my not be that good of the bast use of point but have your lord deid for get iv spell suck so it what i all was take ) helm of commmant,+ 4 word save . she in the sekeles
hore vap vp. 2 power dice in the ghuols vap vp. 2power dice in the ghuols now the 100 point you can gave the magic item or i like going geting a copes cratr for the sk spell up to you wigth bsb what the reg banner now on the guy so ppl like these some ppl think it to much points i just like it p.s. he go in the grave gurd core 30 ghuols champ 30ghuols champ 20 skele full command +1 magec rests the +1 to mr is for your lord who in these unit 3 + word agst magec 30 grave gurd fc what the +1 to hit banner black coch becose it uber
ok so hes what you do what all these you set up the gave in the frot of your amry you set the ghuols to the left and rigth and the sekel in the back the black gos in to hinding if that got alot of shoting think of the amry as a spear the tip the gg. the blads the ghs the stuff the skele now span the vap spell to raz in the beging as much as u can the go to debuff you oppt win hes start geting to up

so the vamp lord is the suport unit with the other 2 vamps as suport suport. and is the black coch rilly that good? i have not read up on it yet with its high point value. also your army is not as different from my 3rd attempt i was also puting my skulitons in the back as a suport protecte. also are vamp suport better then necro suport?

Why would you put a helm of commandment on a necromancer??? His weapon skill isn't any better than the troops (okay fine it's better than skeletons I guess) so it's a waste... only put that on a vampire....
