Hello all! My name is, you guessed it, Michael (I'm sure one more won't hurt right?). I hope everyone is as excited for 9th edition as I am. I have been collecting Warhammer 40k miniatures for years & have enjoyed seeing the amazing community here in Kingston grow to what it has become today. I have a passion for anything related to the great tabletop & was hoping in August I could reach out to the folks in the community who would want to participate in a series of battle reports I would like to run as often as I can while always considering the events at Nexus which will be starting again soon. Specific details will be worked out hopefully in the next couple weeks as I find out how many (fingers crossed) people are interested. I am creating a modest studio & will be recording all of the games played for use in the website I am designing. Please reach out to me as I hope to have a busy schedule in the coming months.

Sounds cool. I only play tau, but I do play them badly, and everyone likes to see the tau lose, right? Entertainment!

Excellent (I'm doing mr. Burns finger steepling). Thanks 4 real! Ill b in touch soon with my tentative start dates (obviously I'll work around y'alls schedules). Now that there are four of you gracious volunteers what point amount would be good for the first matchups. I know with 9th edition coming out we won't know exactly how to fill those lists but I figured I could still ask the question. Also I was going to make up the first set of terrain to play on admech style industrial on a 4x6. Sound good? Any feedback is good feedback : )

I've got well over 2k painted in my five armies, so any point value works for me.
As for table stuff, anything is great as we'll all be getting used to the new terrain rules. Most of the terrain I own is city/ruins themed.

I think more people would watch it if it was more inline with 9th

44x60 is the new standard for 9th... so that would be the size I would recommend for battle reports, as everyone is all about the 9th ed reports these days.

Thanks for that. I have a couple home made two sided boards I made for everything from dnd 2 wargaming. Ill measure them as soon as I move. I think they r close but itll b good to b accurate if possible. Also should I pick a point value for all the battle reports orget input from the four of you. & Also what armies do you have & what might you like 2 play first. Im making a schedule for 2nd week in August now in case you would like to weigh in on when you'd be available. Thanks again for the input & hope you are doing well : )

I for one can do pretty much any point level, but 2k is standard.... also are you wanting fully painted?

2k is what i think most people look for. But variety never hurts, some of those lower point values sometimes make for some dynamics you wouldnt normally see, as well as lists that are less than optimal, which can make the decisions more important.

Fully painted would be ideal but honestly in the beginning lets just have fun so works in progress are cool. 2k point lists it is then. Next im going to get an idea of what you four would like to lead with for the first matchups as far as army choice. Also what days of the week y'all are available & times in August from the 15th on. Im hoping to do any recording/streaming from 8am to 8pm as a time frame Monday to Saturday, at first just to give you an idea of my availability.

I'll go chaos daemons... given I think I'm the only one of the four who plays them... plus giant monsters always look cool in battle reports.
