So this is with a little luck that ghazy will be a supreme commander of orks and will be allowed to be in a supreme command.
Supreme command Goffs Ghazy - 300
BATTLION evil suns or deathskulls
Warboss 75 KFF mek 80 Weird boy 80
Troops 25 shoot boys big choppa nob 205 25 shoot boys big choppa nob 205 10 grots 50 10 grots 50
Elites 10 meganobz klaw/custom shoot 350 1 painboy 65 5 kommandos 45
The idea would be to smash up the middle with Ghazy, meganobz, boys and painboy ball and grab/hold the goods. Kommando pop up and grab what I need. Grots hold home objectives out of LoS with any luck. The HQ are just support to make sure stuff stays alive, mobile and fast.

Ya I mean I hope it's not too much to ask that ghazy is able to go in a supreme command detactment.
As for clans I think it's hard to pick Evil suns gives me the +1M, +1 advance +1 charge that lets stuff get to people. Also advance and shoot assault with no penalty is nice with orks.
Deathskulls gives everything a 6++ and makes all my non troop infantry ob sec so 10 megas and all the HQs being obsec seems really good to, the 1 free re-roll hit wound damage is also nice on megas and hqs.

tough choice... deathskulls seems slightly better with the obsec and 6++ to help you get there.

Yeah, I agree that the 6++ and obsec is probably the better pick. Everything seems to be pointing in the direction of making/taking units that can hold an objective given how important primary scoring is.

It does feel good but again in classic GW fashion they left a big ?? For orks. Codex has the KFF at 5++ that affects all ork clan but only works vs shooting. This cost 75 pts in 8th pts Saga of the beast has a KFF at 5++ that is clan locked but works vs shoot and close combat. This costs 55 pts in 8th pts. They have yet to faq/ errata or release any info on saga of the beast so no one knows if these are 2 different data sheets, if one replaces the other on the codex, etc. I'm assuming it is in fact a replacement for the codex version since they want to clan lock the affects but can't be 100% sure with GW. Any way the main point I was going to get to is if all my models have a 5++ all the time it within 9" of KFF does make deathskulls 6++ slightly less appealing tho zog off and re-roll also feel great.

One thing I've thought about through is all the battle reports in the new edition I've seen a lot of people seem to be picking engage on all fronts as a secondary, and you certainly won't be able to keep your KFF up across the table with the cohency rules. (Iirc you only need one model in range to affect the unit? Or has that changed?)
Could possibly still be worth of if you find yourself spreading out across several objectives

the new objective rules are 9" apart, if you pop a KFF in the middle of two objectives that gives you a 18" diameter bubble of 5++, that doesn't seem that hard to make work.
