Ok, so I've been building some Orks. I've made some Nobz, and some Boyz. There were many parts left over afterwards though, so I tried to kitbash the parts with some Age of Sigmar Ardboyz sprues I had. In the end I made 10 extra boys. However, there were some problems. You see, some Ardboyz bodies are meant to hold a two handed axe above their head. I'm not skilled enough to be able to get guns or one handed swords/axes/clubs in that pose, so I improvised in the most Orky was possible. Gentlemen, may I present to you the Dakka-Basha and the Dakka-Choppa. imgur.com/a/XyWjVUIThe Dakka-Basha is a gun attached to a stick, that you bash things with. It also has a bayonet, for an extra bit of oomph. The Dakka Choppa is a axe with guns strapped on, so that you can shoot anything that doesn't immediately die when you chop it.

best part about orks is you can literally make anything! Have fun with the kitbashing!

Yeah,. I'll be honest, I don't normally like the assembly stage of minis. I like painting and such, but assembly always annoyed me, and I found it tedious.
However, with the Orks I actually enjoyed it. Maybe it's because of the amount of options they have? Who knows.

And not just the box options. I have used other GW parts, dollar store toys, and parts from 1:48 scale models as well. Just let your mind wander and see where it takes you with Orks.

I had not thought of any of that. Thanks for the tip. I'm still new to this kitbashing thing, hahaha.

No problem. We were all new to it once. With most armies there can be an issue with off-scale not looking right. But with Orks, all bets are off! (Though the 1:48 is a good match but a pricier option. Michael's coupons help a lot with that.)

I actually saw someone online take a dollar store cap gun, or some other kind of toy gun, and cut off the barrel to use as some sort of cannon for a vehicle of some sort. Some green stuff was needed of course.
So, I'll clearly need to get some green stuff for myself if I plan on doing anything like that.

Cutting and reshaping have their limits. I would recommend you buy both ribbon and liquid.
