I've been listening to the latest Chapter Tactics today where they are discussing notable changes

99% of what I've heard them talking about the FAQ is just removing "ambiguous" *cough abusive cough* readings of rules as worded where people would do truly abusive things like have Magnus cast Smite 4 times in a single psychic phase or use Desperate Breakout to destroy a Drop Pod the opponent was in combat with so they could shoot them with their army.

They also appear to have happily fixed the CP regain strat for Nids and Wolves, which is neat.

Well one of the biggest changes, and the FAQ shows it's intentional... monsters and vehicles under 10 wounds do NOT count for LOS blocking for characters

sure, this means that daemon princes don't technically make each other untargettable if you put two beside each other (good!)

however it means for my coven list that Talos do not block characters unless there's three of them in a unit (and once they go under three the character is completely targetable)

Also venoms no longer block characters, and harlies get hit with this as well. Old one eye specifically calls out carnifex can block for him, but fexes no longer block for malanthropes, neurothropes and broodlords anymore (as they split once on the board and no longer count as a unit).

So it definitely comes up as there's quite a few monsters and vehicles which are under 10 wounds.

No dreads blocking for marine characters.

And thunder fire cannon does not block for the gunner.

Yeah, it seems that with this change you really need durable Infantry to block for characters, which means if you wanna play HeroHammer™ you're flat out of luck in some armies.

Dang this feels like a massive nerf to orks, just as they started to roll out a mad max buggy list it gets crushed.
Slightly confused about the warboss on bike as I'm still seeing it in battle scribe and it's not showing as legends.

battlescribe takes a bit to update, and prior to a couple days ago, warboss on bike was totally legal.

thinking a couple rolla battlewagons and the mad max list still works though at least

I'm really surprised they havent fixed the nurgling issue since they fixed other points issues. They are 18 points for daemons and 20 for deathguard.

Look out sire has been fixed so you can have dreadnoughts block and smaller vehicles as long as they dont have the character keyword.

also confirmed that both Thousand sons and Grey knights no longer ignore the +1 to cast more then one smite and fixed Space Wolves so they dont all have OBSEC

Glad they reversed that, that would have broken so many archtypes and armies. Light vehicles blocking for characters makes a lot of fast armies able to throw their elite character units around again
