this is the list i tried against shannon today
Iron hands batallion.
vindicare assassin
Techmarine, warlord, master of the forge, master of machines
Chapter master on bike, storm shield and axe of medusa
Indominus lieutenant
7 tac marines, one missile launcher and chain sword
6 tac marines, one missile launcher and chain sword
5 sniper scouts, camo cloaks
5 scouts with camo cloaks, 4 bolter and one missile launcher
Iron clad, assault launchers, hurricane bolter and chain fist
10 terminators, 9 power fists, one power sword, 10 storm bolters and 2 cyclone missile launcher
2 siege dreadnoughts with twin lascannons
unit of three attack bikes with heavy bolters
unit of three landspeeders with heavy bolters and assault cannons
1995 points.
tac marines and scouts worked ok as cheap objective holders. not as durable as primarus but still did the job and having the missile launcher support was good.
the vindicare only really killed his bike guy that buffed the units against one target. so will need more testing to see if he is worth his salt
sniper scouts didn't do much other then keep the vindicare alive as they were his body gaurds.
the terminators didnt do much until the end of the game when they did a crazy 12 inch charge to get into a hive tyrant killing it in close combat. probably should have either deep strike them or have them try to get into a better positon.
the attack bikes were great for getting table quarters and being a distraction.
the landspeeders did damage first turn but were then killed. but nice fast damage or a nice distraction
the siege dreads were on points now being able to take a las cannon is nice. they killed some big bugs, one died after killing one of the bugs. the other keep getting wounded but not enough to kill it (bad rolls on shannons part) and i kept healing it 3 wounds with the master of the forge. then assulting for d3 mortal wounds and 5 str 12 attacks that do 5 damage. Also toughness 8 is great
the iron clad was behind them and didnt get the charge but is still nice to use.

Those siege dreads were really nasty for sure, that T8 chasis is tough to get wounds through on, especially when they get a chance to be healed. List had lots going for it, and was really difficult to pick secondaries against, as nothing was a gimmie - even bring it down only yields 12 points if you clear everything - which is very difficult. I agree, if those termies would have deep struck midboard turn two it would have been extremely tough to deal with... but at least they got to make that epic charge to punk the hive tyrant

So i played the same list i played against shannon, vs dark angels with lots of hellblasters and got wreaked.
I did go second but i dont even think i could have done enough damage going first to have changed the out come much.
