Alrighty, been a while since I've checked up. So I am mostly done with this one. it was fun to try sculpting with the green stuff. it's a chaos predator, and I have the havoc launcher growing out of a mouth appendage squishy thingy. blood for the blood god and such. m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10164659508075433&id=610210432lol it was really fun, and I'm pretty happy with the results. it does kinda make me want an air brush but i ended up liking the textured pattern of the contrast paints in the end for the armor panels. I also actually tried to edge highlight, I might take it up a step witha touch of yellow or lightly green yellow in spots. I also need to varnish. I'm going to use a satin one. and on the meaty bits a brush on gloss varnish, to keep the grossness. the next major question is to add the weather effects or just leave it and not screw it up. lol. gonna just let it sit for a bit.

went on an assembly spree the last couple of weekends. got a squad of CSM built, a 12 man of berserkers, a 5 man terminator squad, a 5 man of havocs, and a chaos lord in terminator armor. m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10164717899525433&id=610210432get them primed in leadbelcher, except for the berserkers, and ready to apply my army recipe to. For the beserkers I haven't decided how I want to paint them. i know traditionally they are red, and i may keep that in spirit, but I'm also trying to figure a way to make them blend a bit with the rest of my alpha legion.

looking good! really like that armor colour thanks bro! I think I'm getting the color scheme down. the main armor is base layer of lead Belcher. then terradon turquoise contrast paint. then a 4:1 mix of contrast medium to warp lightning contrast paint, and I try to "highlight/glaze" the brighter spots with the warp lightning. (o.O)

Here's the 2nd of my 2 Obliterators. pretty happy with how these 2 turned out. I had a bit of trouble trying to balance how much purple was in the 2 minis with the green from the armor and my accent color of red. but I think they turned out alright. also posted pics of my champion for my raptor squad, forgot I had painted him before I started the oblits. m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10165021855380433&id=610210432

From what I can tell they look really nice. Maybe it's just my browser giving me grief, but when I click the photos to blow them up it just turns into a big pixelated mess.
Mind you, the fact that the lines still look clean and nicely balanced despite the pixelization is awesome. Hopefully we'll see them on a table sooner than later!
