From what I can tell they look really nice. Maybe it's just my browser giving me grief, but when I click the photos to blow them up it just turns into a big pixelated mess. Mind you, the fact that the lines still look clean and nicely balanced despite the pixelization is awesome. Hopefully we'll see them on a table sooner than later! I find that happens with facebook in the browser sometimes. I'm getting pretty hyped to play these guys on the table top. I still have some terminators to paint, and some hq (sorcerer and a chaos lord in terminator gear) and then not sure where to go from there.

welp, finished the helbrute build. I've gotten all the sub assemblies primed and magnetized and ready for some paint! m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10165381122360433&id=610210432I'm going to go to a similar theme as my predator tank I did for the mix of meat and metal and bronzed bits. I'm also going to keep the khorne symbol on the head of the juggernaut cuz well I like it and it fits with the one shoulder pad made from skulls on the power fist arm.

Well folks....my helbrute I painted woohoo!!! man it took so long for me to get this finished, bit I'm happy with him. I tried using a really thin oil wash to kinda pin line between the armor panels and the silver trim, as well as between the teeth and wires etc. I think it paid off. also tried a new matte varnish amd it seems to be OK. I only had a semi gloss varnish for the blood and jewels but good enough for now! http://instagram.com/p/CXKeeKmAprw

So this is going to be my next project, it's an exalted sorcerer base I didn't realize at the time that thousands sons was an entire different codex lol. but anyways started this a while ago but didn't like the jet Pack. and originally he had a force stave. anyways, the wings are from the metal raptor kit from I dunno how long ago, I still have the body of the champion from the squad, thats for future mike to deal with. I broke him off the basr right where the flame comes out from the bottom of his cloak, bit it was a happy accident uz now I'll drill out a bit and use some wire and try and sculpt some flames and make it so it's spitting out of theb bottom of the skull. http://instagram.com/p/CZiJG2Zg-bq

Gotta keep the hobby streak alive!!! aaah. I'm calling this dude built and ready for some priming. Now to figure out my color composition. I want to have 2 light sources, one from the flames out of the jet pack, and one from this force sword. I also want him to tie into the rest of the army. so I got some decisions to make. gonna go stare at a color wheel for a while and meditate on the warp. http://instagram.com/p/CZmOajfuXL9

I did the same with Mortarion! It took a bit longer, but still looks nice in the end, and you're right, it's a good opportunity for some brush control practice.
Plus, I find when models are painted in one assembly, they just look nicer. Everything blends better.
