www.warhammer-community.com/2020/10/06/mega-gargants-on-the-table/That link up there is some rules previews for the new models. It also states that pre-orders go live Saturday. Personally, I plan to hopefully get one of them, if no no reason other than to ally into my other guys, since they can be taken in any faction at all. That's right, Order, Chaos, and Death can all take these guys too, with certain restrictions. Hell, I may even try making a whole army of these guys, hahaha.

So, there has been a leak of the price. Apparently the kit costs $195 American. A quick use io an online currency converter states that that's about $260 Canadian. Yesh, maybe I'll have to pass. Well, I do have a job now, but still. I'll have to think on this.

wow... that's prohibitively expensive... and I really wanted an army of these guys!

I was also hoping to have an army of them, or failing that, at least one as I said above. If they are that price though, they'd be more than a box set with many models.

Ok, preorders are up. Seems that the mega-gargants are 230, and the 2 pack of the Manchrusher (formerly known as aleguzzler) gargants are 150. They no longer sell the regular giant in packs of one.
So, a bit cheaper than expected. I'll certainly try to preorder one next week.

I believe their warscrolls are out and they look tough, pretty excited to face one if you do get one:)
There's also a really funny rule that one of the giants have where they keep the objectives away lol

That rule seems awesome, hahaha.
For what it's worth, there is a 100% chance I am getting a mega-gargant. The big question is if I'll just use him as a mercenary, or start an army of them. Currently, I'm leaning towards starting an army, but we shall see.

Can always build up slow for now, 2 models is enough for 1k games which are great, 1 model can be used for your allies. Looking forward to seeing you paint them up and playing against them

To be fair, while two of the mega gargants will be about 1000 points, they aren't battleline for the gargant army. Only the man crushers are, hahaha.
I've decided I will make an army of them. I really enjoyed painting my Maw-Krusha due to how big it is, so hopefully these will be the same.

I will not be purchasing a mega giant any time soon. However, I would really enjoy the opportunity to throw 50 to 60 wild gors at it just to see if I can slow it down at all haha
Must keep painting....

So, in a recent update on the forgeworld side of things, the bonegrinder gargant got a Sons of Behemat update. They are stronger now, and can be used in Sons of Behemat armies.
Interestingly enough, at $220, they are actually cheaper than the actual Mega-Gargant box, which is about $230. I never thought I'd see the day when forgeworld was the cheaper option, hahaha.
Anyway, I have a Mega-Gargant preordered, as well as the battletome. So, looking forward to that.

Heh, yeah kind of speaks to how quickly GW is inflating their prices these days. I imagine the FW option is also smaller than the new megas?
I do look forward to seeing one on the table though. I am curious to see how customizable the build is. All the pictures I've seen have looked exactly the same for each type.

Actually, the Mega-Gargant might be a bit shorter than the Bonegrinder. Well, judging by some size comparison screenshots online anyway.

Which one did you build? Do you have many cool looking bits left over? I imagine these guys to be great for destruction/chaos conversion fodder.
Somewhat disappointed to read the chaos ally is not the gate breaker. His hatred of all things civilization would have made him an excellent addition to my beasts of chaos. But I also approve of the big fella using the symbol of khorne as a crotch curtain. Dark Prince forever!
I have painted up my chaos spawn. Least important thing to finish as far as my army is concerned, but I paint where my whims direct me. Hence the giant stack of unfinishedness.
Looking forward to seeing pictures of the mega dude once he's painted up!
