Ok, so my Warstomper is assembled, and I decided that before priming it, I'd take a picture of it beside a primaris marine I had laying around, so you guys could get an idea as to how big it is. So, here you go. imgur.com/a/2rxHDy0For those that can't view the picture for whatever reason, the primaris marine comes up to just under the Mega-Gargants knee.

So, I just got finished priming the Warstomper, and have a word of advice for anyone that decided to get a Mega-Gargant as well:
Prime it with an airbrush or spraycan.
The thing has so many nooks and crannies that it took me roughly one and a half hours to prime via brush. It was absurd (To be fair, I was probably just slow, as I took a break every few minutes or so to text someone for most of the process). Well, it's over with now, so hopefully I can get to painting it soon. I'm off the next two days, so that works, hahaha.
I plan to post the finished paint job once it's complete. I can't promise super high quality painting, as I don't consider myself to be that good, but I'll do my best. I hope to do at least as well as I did with my Ironjawz.

Detail on it looks amazing. Not surprised you had issues with the priming by brush. Good luck with it!

So, after all this time, I haven't gotten around to painting it yet. Had a lack of motivation due to feeling really bleh. I'm starting to get out of that funk though, so am hoping to start actually painting soon.

Finally got some base coats down. I'm off work until Tuesday, so I'm hoping to make some fair progress on the guy.

Skin is done. At least, it's as good as my skill level can get it to.
I didn't make as much progress as I would have liked. I was called into work on Sunday, and Monday I was just tired, so that was two of my days off not used on painting. I'm hoping to pick some up again next day off.

Trying to get my ungors done before you finish the gargant. Going to be a tight race...

You'll likely win that one, hahaha. I tend to lack proper motivation. Although, who knows, maybe you saying that will help with my motivation. I'm also trying something new. Rather than sitting down for one massive marathon painting session, I'm hoping to try painting a smaller amount, but more often. Hopefully it helps.

I rarely do painting marathons. My back doesn't appreciate it, and quality tends to drop after I decide I REALLY don't want to be there anymore. It's also just harder to find those large blocks of time, and when you can't, easier to skip out on painting altogether.
I've found I'm much more successful when I just set myself a small goal, get in an hour or so, and keep the ball rolling. A few short painting sessions often leads into a longer one when I'm really feeling it. Waiting for the motivation to spend an entire day painting leaves me staring at a whole lot of grey plastic.

That's fair.
I've painted a few more times since I last updated this. I've had a rough few days though, so haven't gotten any painting done this weekend.

Got some more done. Just need to do the metallic colours, and then all the base coats will be done. After that I'll start to shade and do dry brushing and highlights.

Awesome. I love it when I finally have the base coats done. Seems like everything goes so quickly after that.
I've spent the last two nights staring at the banner trying to work up the courage to attempt the freehand. I've decided they are all going to be different, so at least I don't have to try to exactly duplicate what I did last time. I like painting miniatures because I absolutely cannot draw or paint anything on a blank canvas. So for me, a little skull with horns is actually a feat haha.

Well, from what I remember anyway, the freehand you had previously done on a different banner was really good.
