So, the only thing I got assembled in months is the Mega-Gargant, which I posted in October in the AoS boards. Since then, I haven't gotten around to painting it. I've just had no passion for anything. I don't paint or assemble models. I don't read books, play video games, or watch tv either. I've just been bleh.
I'll admit, I don't technically have depression, as what I have is closer to a depressive version of bipolar (Among other things), but it still sucks. I've had it for years and years. Anyway, I wanted to make this thread in case there are others with the same problems as me here, and if so, to ask if they'd be willing to share advice or coping strategies to still be able to paint and hobby and such.
And if not, well, at least you all know now, so you can avoid playing against me if you'd rather not play someone with mental health issues. I won't judge.

I tend to go through stages myself, between Bolt Action, TY, FOW and star wars legion and then my ww2 Reenactment and work I sometimes either can't decide what to paint or even if I can be arsed, tonight I was going to paint a squad of Shoretroopers but ended up just watching TV, I find that I need an end goal to look forward to, a tournament or a big game to get an army finished.

I had a rough spell a few years ago and its definitely different for everyone. I myself felt overwhelmed with stuff in life but what got me through it was making small goals.
If you want to you can try and break down a task into many smaller goals and write down the goals and break them into different days. So instead of thinking of cleaning up your place, its wash dishes, put away dishes, sweep, wash bathroom, get groceries, and so on. Don't just try and do them all at once either, try and break it down so its a couple different days to.
Warhammer or Hobby can be the same thing, break down a project into many different goals. For the Mawcrusher, maybe its assembly one or 2 nights, Then another night it can be priming it, then another day it could be base coating the skin on the model etc. Don't make the goals to big, the smaller goals means they are more attainable.
Again this helped me and I still use it for painting projects now. I hope this can be helpful for you.

Thanks, both of you.
I feel like I'm slowly leaving my funk, and have the next 4 days off. Hopefully I can do something with them.
