Hmm, crashing on the conversions and advanced brushwork skills (most I tend to do for the grunt troops is a wash etc) for the most part though I do remove mold lines that I can see when assembling stuff.
The problem is that to many people, Necron HQs don't stand out that much. Maybe I should give the guys some banner poles or something?  Well how you've painted Szeras I'd say makes him stand out... maybe a little bit extra on the other style characters to make them pop a bit. Basically put your overlord beside a group of warriors - can someone look across the table and easily go "that guy! He's the one to kill"... you don't have to put him on a giant scenic base or anything - just make him stand out from the crowd a little to grab those couple extra points! my necrons also have zero conversions... conversions aren't for everyone, that's totally okay! there's still a potential 88 OTHER points to gain over the weekend! |

I had one thought thinking about the rubric this morning. Since all the other sections work as "add up your scores", might I suggest perhaps the display board section gets re-worked slightly so it's in line with the scoring methods of the other blocks where you add up all instead of choose highest? Perhaps something like:
Just thinking for consistency having all sections score the same way might be easier to understand.
