Hello!
Semi-mostly new to minis painting. My more experienced parter suggests we need / want cork for basing.
So I turn again to the experts- Where do I acquire such cork? He sources say, "aquarium supplies", but when I check, they seem pricy (online).
Besides wine (har har), what's your source for cork?

If you don't mind my asking, what types of basing is the cork used for?

It can mainly be used for a rocky-type base or even a cracked ashfault (see LizardTau's Iron Hands)
It could potentially work as a desert/salt plains if painted correctly I think

Depending on the size of model, the dollar store also stocks cork hot mats that are thicker and can be crumbled to make larger "rocks". Run $1.25 - $2 for two. And yeah, we aren't exactly shy about either sharing or speaking up around here.
