If you want 40k stuff for TTS here you go: github.com/recordkeeper/TTS40k-Mod-CatalogueUpdates constantly... (so has all the new stuff) Once you get the maps working right (using additive load to the base map) it's pretty slick... even has an updated secondaries list and score tracker etc. which includes the faction secondaries too. Well worth the time it takes to figure the program out, as it's a great way to still play 40k and test out lists ideas

Is there a way to disable the effect where, while moving multiple items, a slight "jiggle" to the mouse will cause them to ball up? That is one of the main reasons I refuse to paly 40k, via TTS, is that moving 30 Boyz is a 10 minute ordeal of picking apart a ball of models... And then feeling like shit because I didn't mark placement and then I either feel like I am cheating or I lose out on movement becuase I cut myself short because of not remembering where things go and then why even bother playing int he first place?
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu..

it's honestly practice... I did that CONSTANTLY when I first started using TTS and over time I do it less and less.
Also when moving a big unit of anything, I don't select the whole unit ... I do it in sections so that if it is one of those "deathball" moments, it's affecting maybe five models, not 30. The extra time moving is pretty minimal (especially once you get used to operating the program) but trying to untangle 30 models is just a level of frustration I don't think I'd want to be regularly doing either!
The discord community for 40k on TTS is really, really good. Since you're a big fan of discord, I recommend checking them out! It's helped me tremendously, and if there's an issue you've had with TTS, I can guarantee there's a bunch of people who've either figured out a workaround, or can offer some great advice!
Also, as the community continues to work on things, it gets better and better!
Battlescribe to TTS is also really, really useful. Sure it takes a while to figure out... but what a timesaver once you get it!

So playing TTS yesterday we figured out a trick to counter lag...
when you have models die, do NOT delete them... just pick them up and move them to the sideboard. Deleting the models can result in a bug where they will constantly try to respawn (in our case under the table!) which after a while creates a LOT of lag.

Deleting the models can result in a bug where they will constantly try to respawn (in our case under the table!) which after a while creates a LOT of lag. Just to add to this, this glitch actually corrupts your game state, and persists through your save-file. So you can completely restart your game/system, and reload the bad game state save file, and continue to lag out. Once the game state gets into this glitched/de-synced state, you cannot repair it. We didn't notice any issues particularly with dice being deleted, but we tried to avoid creating/deleting dice as much as possible too and had no issues after changing to the behavior of moving dead moving aside rather than deleting.

Hey Shannon, do you have a link to the 9th ed table you've got set up? I didn't see it in the pack of models.

search for:
FTC 9th Edition Map Base mod
Then you follow the github link above and do an "additive load" of the strike force sized maps
but you definitely need the FTC Map Base to load into first.

May i introduce to to CTRL+Z. itll "undo" your previous action and revert the board to where everything was right before you bundled your units up. Not the best solution but it beats replacing everything manually lol

Thought I'd just put this out there for a reminder for everyone who's struggling with the idea of a month of no gaming. TTS does help scratch that itch. There's a bit of a learning curve and it's not perfect of course, but it's the closest thing to actually playing 40k/AOS and other Tabletop miniatures games that's out there.
worth checking out if you haven't already.

Just a heads up the battlescribe to TTS mod is no longer valid.... it has been replaced by YELLOWSCRIBE

Also, it's important to to go the Yellowscribe website to learn how to load everything in properly.
1. Use Battlescribe to make a list and save it to your PC. 2. Open TTS, arrange your models and as an object 3. Upload Battlescribe list to Yellowscribe website, it spits out a code 4. Load Yellowscribe on TTS 5. Paste code from Yellowscribe website, wait a minute for it to input your list to TTS 6. Load the army "object" you saved earlier. 7. Go through your list, click the unit entry then click the model(s) represented. 8. Highlight all of your loaded models and do the jiggle to bunch them all up, then drop into a corner 9. Click "generate army" and there will be a smaller board hovering above the tabletop with your nicely arranged and properly stat-lined models as per the linking you did in step 7. Your Yellowscribe army can now be loaded into game of TTS.

oh... and after you generate an army in step 9 - highlight it all and save it as an object!
