This is the start of the Space Wolves army I'm putting together with my wife. First squad of primaris intersessers(?). m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10164557687505433&id=610210432I also have 3 fenrisian wolves painted up kicking around but yeah. I think I'll paint either the ltn from the combat patrol box, or the warsuit. buuuut..... before I even do that. I want to finish my chaos predator by starting the crazy customization. but that is for a different thread.

They look cool! It's just a shame that because of the army, we're set to be mortal enemies for life.

Not sure what I posted in this thread last, but I put painting my helbrute on hold to scratch the build itch to start working on this 10 man wolfgaurd pack. I put them with jump packs, 5 with double lightning claws, and 5 with claw and shield. I figured they could be deployed as a flying ball of angry furry rage, with some survivability, or sit them into 2 packs, one for slicing and dicing, the other for just the dicing. http://instagram.com/p/CWgNIJvAVhA

Soooo finally got these guys done. The paint scheme for these guys was designed to be pretty fast, and for the armor, it was pretty quick, a shade of Kandor blue (?) and the fenrisian grey dry brushed over top. the part that bogged it down was the trim and fur and skulls. HOWEVER!!! still a Hella lot faster than my chaos army. trying to do the hobby streak challenge is what got these done. there's no way I can hobby for a dedicated amount of time so what I do is take the 10 to 30 minutes I can, knock off a base layer on a couple dudes and plug away. so these really didn't take that much time. http://instagram.com/p/CZdSIe-A7dp

Alrighty! got the rest of the fenrisian wolves completed and I like the way they turned out. So I have a decent idea how the thunderwolves will go. I like the black wolf that started purple, and I also like both of the white wolves. I was a bit worried starting off with way off base colors would not read right by the end. I think it's nearly there. http://instagram.com/p/Ca_Bta8gaWY

Started the morning off with a new project lol. well "started" in a relative term. gotta wait 4 hours for the miliput to cure, but at least it's a start. I cut the molded kit piece along the back where the cracks were so I could bend the asphalt and really go for the broken down road effect. go go hobby streak. http://instagram.com/p/CbDGZE6uT2n

No pics for today's update. the hobby progress has been abysmal this last month. I have finished building the spacewolf priest on bike. I'm going to prime it black and give it a look again before starting the paint job. I also primed up a bunch of terrain, from kits, and base coated the crate and mining machine things in a wet blend of browns reds oranges. I tried the hair spray method of chipping o the crate, after a varnish I layered blue on, a crappy thin layer that was uneven. letter dry an hour and used wet qtips to scratch and scrape away the rust beneath. it actually worked ok! I'm also layering yellow over the brown on the machinery, but it will take about 666 more layers before its a good opacity. my next steps is to finish metal trim on the crate, then varnish is well, so I can start with oil washes to reaaally age it down. after that will be highlighting the tops and bottoms of all the chips and so forth.
for the priest I want to go with a dark blue base for his bike, and his armor will be a darker shade of the fenrisian grey, with maybe a shade of dark blue. I plan on having the runes I carved glow white blue. any gadgetry will be a green tint of some sort to add to the complementary to blue with out going out of the blue spectrum totally. the will probably be red worked in there somewhere (probably leathers) also as a contrast to the over all blue.
so I did some math lol, since I picked up elden ring 30 days ish ago, I've put in about 63 hrs of play in. that's about 2hrs a day. maybe 50% of those hrs would have been spent crafting or painting. (-_-) it kinda blew me away how sucked in I got.
I'll post pics when I get some decent headway
