Mike just confirmed with me. For the duration of the lockdown, no gaming in the back room can occur.
We're still hopefully a go for Great Crusade as the lockdown is supposed to go until May 3rd.

Not surprise. Mike has been very cautious and responsible so far. No reason for him to change that.

I asked Mike today if the gaming area is opening back up given we're hitting Phase II now. He states that he is still banned from having "social gatherings" in the business, so is unable to open up the back room yet.
I'll keep you posted if anything changes.

"FOOOOOORD" I'm shaking my fist in the air but you can't see it oh I am as well... before this last lockdown we could play in the back at 3,000 cases a day... we're below 300 but can't play warhammer even masked up... makes zero sense.

I'm not defending any politicians or political decisions here, but as someone who works in healthcare I promise you almost all the seemingly-non-sensical-stuff and the overly-cautious reopening schedule is because of the situation with the delta-variant. Areas that have opened faster than us are now having to consider closing down again because of it.
Slow and steady, we'll be gaming soon enough.

Well I'm fairly certain the chances of covid caused by a half a dozen masked people playing warhammer are fairly low. I think Costco having hundreds of people in it is more of a risk, but that never seems to be an issue throughout the various lockdowns. (was there a couple weeks ago and it was as packed as xmas)
I agree not everything should be wide open with no precautions. But the decisions made have certainly favoured big box stores where many more people congregate than small businesses trying to stay afloat who have far more control over safety protocols.

I absolutely agree the guidelines are unfortunately much harder on small businesses, and we should continue support our FLGS as much as possible while they wait to welcome us back.
I for one cannot wait to see some familiar (or new) faces at Nexus again.

Well, on the bright side I have more time to get my Necrons painted before things open back up *looks at half finished Silent King on painting table*
