The backwards legs are an interesting touch, but nice flavour for the Beast theme of the Savage Orks. Do you think this is a new HQ choice or will it just be the new "Painboy"? The inclusion of a Grot Orderly is amusing, as it hasn't had rules since the Index and has just been an additional stat on the Painboy's line. It is amusing to see them including more "Cybork" designs.

The question is, though..... Would Da Red Gobbo associate themselves with this madlad?

Zodgrod looks like an interesting utility pick for Orks. I am hoping he is a names elite and not an HQ. He would need some pretty crazy stats or other abilities to take up a HQ slot with the competitiveness there these days. I also feel this way about the Pain Boss vs Pain boy. I'm hoping its more of an upgrade to the elite slot then a new HQ.
Plus with the confirmed new Mega armour boss you know that's gonna be everywhere.

Do you think he might be a "No Force Org Slot", like the Runtherds?

It would be cool if they keep it. It would also line up with him being a freeboota so he doesnt affect kultures

Really surprised to see that Gretchin have CORE, considering Cultists and Poxwalkers don't. I suppose it may be a case of the Ork codex having fewer buffs and auras to hand out.

Or maybe, they're going to have a caveat much like Poxwalkers, whereby they can only be taken in even nuumebrs with another core unit.

Currently, Runtherds are tied to Gretchin - You need to field at least one unit of Gretchin to field a Runtherd.
Possibly a variation on this?

One for one on ork infantry would stop spam and would allow them to drop the unit cost. I know they set the bar at nothing costs less then 5 ppm but S2/T2 models being 1 ppm less then guardsmen is tough. Also that 12" S3 AP0 D1 weapon isnt winning any prizes. 3-4 ppm would be nice since it couldn't be used as a pure filler since you need the infantry to unlock. (This could also work for brimstone horrors for demons)

I wouldn't be surprised to see Gretchin lose Objective Secured a la Death Guard Cultists, either.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Gretchin lose Objective Secured a la Death Guard Cultists, either. Currently Boyz and Grots are the only Troop choices for Orks. I assume that the Beast Snagga boyz will be their own codex entry as another troop choice (not as a boy upgrade) in which case you might be right that grots will lose their Obsec. I would like to see another troop option on top of boyz / snagga boyz /grots , I think this would be a place where ork bikes could shine. Let the buggies and cavalry be the fast attack, let the bikes be a troop choice. I don't think it would be too hard to balance with most of the ork advantages are hiding in trukks or big hordes neither of which the bikes would get.

Ya and base str 4. Not sure if they had that before I know they use to be str 3 toughness 4 but got plus one strength on the charge but that might have been a long time ago lol. So str 4 and toughness 5 might be good for them. Also I think its suppose to make them tougher but not give them 2 wounds.
