Hi guys,
In the process of building my first 40k army with Sisters of Battle. Just wanted to see if people could answer a few questions for me. I see most people running battle sisters as squads of 5 (1 Superior, 1 simulacrum & 3 vanilla sisters). If I want to run 5x squads of 5 do I need to get 5 battle sisters boxes? I currently have 3 with only one superior in each is there any other tournament legal options to build these? Additionally what do you do with the extras? Make dominion squads?
Similarly, is the only way to get 2 squads of Retributers with 4x multimeltas each to get 4 retributer boxes? as there are only 2 meltas each. I have 2 boxes.
Last question if I want to make a dominion squad from the battle sisters box do I just build them with special weapons? Eg. the artificer crafted storm bolter?
Thanks in advance.

Sadly, the retributor box doesn't come with enough Multi-meltas to fully equip the squads with them. Good news / Bad news is that retributors are essentially sisters with different poses, so you can use the other models for heavy bolters etc. in your regular sisters squads. Also good news - there are several arm options in the retributor box that fit a regular sister body to make more superiors if you want them to stand out.
The sisters box comes with 10 so it totally can make two squads of five out of it. The sister superior is essentially any battle sister. I seem to remember two banner (simulacrum) options in the box, but I might be misremembering.
Not sure if a simulacrum is really needed for a squad of 5 though. The extra act of power in a phase can be nice sometimes, but I find unless you're really tooling for it, you get a lot less miracle dice with the current book.
dominions are essentially sisters with special weapons, so feel free to use regular sisters boxes - however they don't come with multi-meltas, but the artificer crafted storm bolters are amazing.
