Honestly, I'm in.
I 100% buy what this rumor is selling. As a newer GSC player who only picked up the faction earlier this year, I can understand the streamlining. GSC's turn 1 with ambush markers basically makes for double the time spent at deployment steps because you are having to think differently about deployment, as well as your opponent gets super-confused because they are playing blind.
I'd discount any parts of the rumor video that suggest "X Trait/Relic/etc could combo with this" because I'd suspect with a rework this deep most of the faction traits, warlord traits, and relics will likely be reworked or changed as well.
But everything else seems extremely plausible to me. Obviously this is just a piece of the overall change-set but it does several things well, including most importantly defining much more distinct roles for units. Hybrid-Metamorphs and Acolytes for example are effectively identical units atm except for their main weapons loadouts for example, where as this really defines Metamorphs as an infantry blender unit like Wyches, Abominant/Abberants as heavy hitters, Purestrains as Fast-Shock-Troops, etc.
Unquestioning Loyalty being streamlined to the Bodyguard rule also makes sense, gets rid of a ton of feels-bad janky mechanics, and also should hint at Tau Players how Saviour Protocols will likely be reworked as the rules are similar, and does it's job of protecting your characters in the shooting phase without being oppressive and slowing down the game while you pawn off wounds.
I'm not going to speculate further because it's rumormill, but if this was all true I'd be absolutely thrilled, it all sounds extremely good to me.

I'm not mad about most of these... some aren't great, but overall some major issues (genestealers being useless, metamorphs being useless, abberrants being useless, no cult creeds for genestealer units) are fixed, which honestly even if they just did these few things I'd be pretty happy with the army.

I'll start off saying GSC are in a place that with ANY fore thought into a new book they can only make them better. They are sitting bottom of barrel with tau.
I see GSCs needing 3 big things to put them back into thier role without losing thier identity to just "evil guard"
1. A way to ignore the " can not be set up with 12 special rules" the second you turn off thier ability to both shoot and charge out of deep strike they will never be worth thier points. There are at least 3-4 armies that can get this pretty easy and it's just breaks the match ups.
2. A stratagem to turn off auspex scan or the likes. Again this just feels like an auto counter, maybe a couple units are tough enough to not melt like abhorrent but 20 T3 5+ models vs any sort marine, admech, eldar interrupt shooting just picks them up. Sure you an be cagey and hide behide terrian but a free turn 2 and 3 drop to trade CP for safety is fair. Maybe a 1/2cp spilt depending on unit size or type of model.
3. I'd like to see some more hit and run style play built in as defensive buff. Just some ideas - 3 inch consolidate or 6" consolidate towards a friendly character to help keep them safe. - a show stealer style strat to fight then run away before getting punched back - a strat to let a unit of infantry fall back into a rock grinder truck if it's also at engagement range of the enemy. Like " get back to the truck"
These guys are suppose to be the master of guerilla warfare and I'd love to see some of the more squishy humanoid units get defense out of being crafty rather than transhuman strat or 2+ save.
Then your actual genestealer, adhorents, etc can be the more smash and swarm units.
