Hello!
My name is Rob, I'm a student at Queen's. As a kid I played LOTRSBG. As it is all but dead, I decided I'd get into AOS, but as I'm starting my collection from the ground up, I think 40k might make more sense to collect (as people actually play it...).
I play a lot of DnD, and am wanting to collect an army themed around the inquisition - ideally a mix of Sisters of Battle and Imperial Guard with Inquisitor paint scheme and leadership. Wish me luck lmao.
Looking forwards to playing with yall.

Hello! Welcome to the forum.
For what it's worth, I play AoS (Ironjawz). I know Dave does too (he has Beasts of Chaos). Can't speak for any of the other people that played before covid though, as for all I know, they may have just jumped ship
There is a large 40K community though.

Welcome Rob! I got into tabletop gaming way back in the day with LotR as well. Now 40k is my main jam.
There are definitely folks who play AoS as well, but with open gaming still somewhat limited, it has been a little quieter.
40k seems to have a more tenacious audience with saturday games filling up fast.

Welcome to the forum Rob!
40k is thriving pretty decently right now (even with the restrictions) so it's a good time to get in, and sisters are in a really good spot.

I do play AoS! Looking to play more often once getting in a game isn't so difficult. The ability to play on weekends would greatly increase my chances.
If you do go full 40k, I may see you there too. Once tau get a new book and/or I decide on a new faction to play, anyway.

Welcome aboard Huncote! I'm just starting out on my AoS journey as well. So if you do decide to go that way, it's a good time to get into AoS and learn the game.
