The hexmark gun is nice considering that it comes deep strikes in you can essentially pick out a few units if things are too close together. It’s only 12” and you come in at 9” but might be able to clip a vehicle or something D3+3 . Not sure what is better that or the gauntlet of conflagration. Definitely going try this list out. The mobility aspect is huge. And being able to charge and advance with skoptek destroyers for 1 cp is nice.

One issue I am realizing is that a vanguard detachment is only 2 heavy slots so it hard to run multiple destroyer units. For zero command points. Did some quick battlescribe testing and given the restrictions on hat units you can take, for 2000 pts you can take this: Lokhust Lord Skorpekh lord 5 units of melee destroyers (at least 3 have to be Skorpekh for the Vanguard detachment) 2 units of 6 Lokhust destroyers+heavy 2 Hexmarks
At which point you have 170 points left over so you can take any mixture of Flayed Ones (17 at most) and/or Plasmacytes for the various melee units.
Ultimately this is a fairly restrictive RoA given what units are allowed and you'd probably have to use Flayed Ones for objective taking/actions.
