Yeah. I wonder if they can just toss their armour out and get a new set after that.

Sultansean and I had our game today - a tense blood bath. Which I guess makes Morathi happy?
It looked bleak for the Stormcast Eternals when the shooting into the fifteen bow-snakes was lacklustre, both charges out of Azyr failed and the Bowsnakes were able to almost completely Rally. My Stormdrake died in Turn 2 with the Fulminators dying Turn 3, but at least the Fulminators were able to grab and burn an objective by being Obsec and the Stormdrake took a small squad of Spearsnakes with them.
My Knight Draconis, supported by Longstrikes, was able to take down a big unit of Spearsnakes. It was touch and go when he then brought the big mob of Bowsnakes down to a single model - but I had failed my 3+ mount trait to deny battleshock commands and he was able to take casualties in such a way as to be out of engagement range. His Rally, though, only brought back 3 models out 12, even though he only needed 4+.
Game was won by a Call for Aid that catapulted a Vindictor Squad into the empty Snake backfield. Phew!
Incredible game with a mission that leaves a lot to the end in terms of possible scoring. Glad we had the time to play it out and not be rushing to finish in two hours.

We've got most of our games up to the christmas break completed, any outstanding you have extra time for this window as the next block doesn't start till January.
If you are missing games and want to backfill a makeup game message mike, or if you know someone in the league you haven't played yet you can match them directly! Just sent any results in, and for the moment we want to try and keep each matchup unique so (for the moment) no rematches for scoring purposes.
Merry Christmas to all participants!

Great game between the Daughters of Khaine and the Sons of Behemat, who would be the favourite child?
The gargant kicked an objective back into giant territory, while being shot with arrows. Turn 2, that's the priority objective the giants need to keep safe. The shadow queen flies up 14" rolls a 12" charge and hops over the gargant onto the objective. The gargant then tries to suplex her back off the objective, but the snake goddess is not so easy to wrestle with and he fails on the 3+. The shadow queen then kills the gargant to steal the primary objective and 3 points, which ends up being decisive.
At the end of the game one wounded gargant is standing in the middle of the board, while one unit of flying girls and a hero from the Daughters are running boldly forward (but also away from the scary giant). Giving the Daughters of Khaine a win.

Was a great game! Super disappointed about not getting to suplex a god hahaha. And the one Gargant who survived, clearly the smartest of the four, used his arcane knowledge to summon the Quicksilver swords and almost wipe out a unit of snake ladies. Good stuff in this game.

2 great games today also happen to have been my first 2 on skaven!
1st game was against sylvaneth. Rats deployed aggressively and went second, took a little damage from the shooting that was in range. On the skaven turn my warp lightning cannon did 11 mortal wounds to the screen that was blocking durthu then my stormfiends popped out of a gnawhole and turned durthu into wood shavings! By the time the dust it was a skaven victory!
2nd game was against seraphon and was a real nail biter. The whole game was essentially my skaven tanking mortal wounds while laying down fire hoping to keep the big monsters at bay. However the skaven fire power proved to be not enough to take down all the big monsters before they started into my main heavy hitters. This one was a lost for the skaven but there was only 4 points between us at the end!
Really happy with how my skaven played. Extremely fun random effects and honestly moving around 87 models wasn't too bad since 80 of them were all on movement trays lol

Played my Stormcast against Nighthaunt yesterday. A real chess match of a game with some cagey play as we manoeuvred around. His two big bricks of ghosts were actually terrifying! This was my first game against Nighthaunt. The league format and having an afternoon game meant that we could fully explain our armies before the game which was great.
My high rend shooting was not very effective, but my Vanquishers and Liberators were able to trade their lives to allow my Fulminators and Evocators to hit the somewhat attrited blocks of ghosts. Funniest moment was Gardus declaring his Saintly Assault giving those around him and himself rerolls on the charge but then failing his own 6 “ charge. “Don’t worry guys - you’ve got this!” To be fair, Nekekami’s General also failed his charge, rolling snake eyes and then rerolling into a 3 to fail a 4 inch charge. I guess Khorne wasn’t watching over us at that moment.
A game that was tense in terms of game state but chill in terms of player atmosphere. Could have gone either way with one very decisive turn leading to a Stormcast victory.
Thanks for the game!

Just FYI for when the GHB points are rolled out, the plan right now is we *will* be including the points, and they will take effect for the next full 2-week game window after the new points are out.
The battlepack will likely remain otherwise unchanged.

The mighty Sylvaneth arrived to the battlefield to combat the soulblight gravelords, only to find the cowardly vampires fled the field. Sylvaneth takes the league game this week, but at least got to have a practice skirmish vs. their hated foe the maggotkin of nurgle as a consolation prize.

The Sylvaneth and the Soulblight Gravelords intended to meet in combat but were blind sided by the unexpected appearance of Nurgles Blightlords lead by The Glotkin themselves! The undead hordes were overrun but Sylvaneth put up a valiant defense. Things seemed evenly matched at first but even Durthu could not hold back the mass of Nurgles pestilent warlords.
A victory for my opponent but since he subbed out his army he graciously gave me the win. Great game!
Edit: whoops check before posting lmao

IDK met up with Slaves to Darkness last night. A multitude of self inflicted wounds put a damper on the chaos army and the sea elves were able to capitalize on some dice luck for the win.
This was an interesting battleplan with an uncomfortable deployment. Lots of fun though.

Finally got the week 5-6 game in against Medhelm, Slaves vs Daughters. It was a great game and definitely fun to see units getting buffed up on the eye of the gods table. Unfortunately the Chaos gods did not heed their prayers and showered some bad luck and failed charges throughout the game. The Chaos sorcerer succumbed to his dark powers in turn 1 rolling snake eyes on 3 dice then 6 mortals. Chaos Knights charged across the battle field and deleted a unit of witch aelves turn 1. Combat snakes slithered through their deployment zone to mount a counter attack on the Knights. The demon prince set up for a charge, but failed the re roll - deeming it to risky to flap down from the center mountain onto an unsuspecting melusai which set up a counter charge from the combat snakes. The bloodwrack viper ate it's fill munching on Knights and chosen thought the game. The chaos chosen exacted some retribution and removed the slaughter queen and melusai in one charge.
A great game, and things almost swung in chaos' favour by squeaking onto some of the daughters objectives and burning them up.

Week 4 game against Mudwump today - nurgle vs Daughters.
This game started off with Khaine laughing at their priests, failing 3 of 4 chants in the first 2 rounds of the game. Slow movement doesn't do any favours for nurgle, though, giving the daughters a chance to line up beneficial charges. The bloodwrack viper made another appearance and cleansed some rotting nurgle from the realm once again. Mindrazor on a unit of Witch aelves was able to lift a unit of blightkings. Once that offering to khaine was made, luck came back to the daughters.
Tough map for nurgle with the objectives being so far away. Another victory for the daughters against chaos. Thanks for the game.
