I had a lot of fun. All of my games were very different experiences (despite playing DoK twice) and I had three great opponents.
I am getting better at figuring out what I want to do before the time comes, and looking at my rules a lot less, but playing fast is still a struggle. So many models to move, so many dice to roll.

A chill tournament with three fun games and a variety of armies! I got completely out-generaled in my first match where I won many of the big engagements but completely lost the battle. I felt a little bad for my Dwarf opponent in game two facing a 24 inch no-mans land against my Longstrikes, but I am sure the book of grudges will now have an entry that will need to be settled in the league! As for my third match, Khorne should be pleased with all those Blood Tithe points!
I thought the mission pack worked well - the additional victory conditions were impactful without being dominating. I think those extra conditions were important. The Battle Tactics were good in my view.
While my Longstrikes did much of the heavy lifting, my little Aetherwings were the surprise MVPs. They achieved battle tactics in all the games, secured a couple of objectives, valiantly screened my main units and also killed a Reaver.
Looking forward to the next tourney - the new Slaves to Darkness book should be on the street by then.

I had a lot of fun, was glad to see all the Sigmar regulars out on the same day again. I may not have one any games but Gotrek certainly got his pound(s) of flesh across the event!

I had a great time! And it was super fun to get to play against some new armies.
Since we are tinkering under the hood with the rules anyways, I have some thoughts.
I thought "Lurkers Below" was a bad mission, it was the 2nd one we played with the "sudden death" victory condition. I think all this does is create a "feels bad" where a strong deepstrike or shooting army can win against a new or unsuspecting opponent without them having a chance to respond. The only other time I can see it happening is if you have tabled your opponent and you are able to walk on to their objective at the end. But in that case you would have won a mission with normal scoring anyways. In my game me (DoK) against Beasts of Chaos, I think we both realized after reading the mission that we were playing for a minor victory and focused completely on Battle Tactics. But that doesn't really allow much tactical play. I guess there could be room for a "big brain" play where you don't kill an enemy unit in your turn in order to prevent them taking "eye for an eye" but that seems like the worst type of cheesy gaminess. Morathi yells to her blood crazed witch elves as they are locked in a deadly fight against the followers of chaos, "just hurt them a bit, but be sure not to kill anyone!"
For Grand Strategies I think we should re word "Show of Might" since apparently GW has FAQ'd this to essentially be "have a battle line unit in the exact center of the battlefield", which is entirely different from what reading it would indicate.
The change to priority rules felt fine. Although I never got to go second, which I would have preferred.

For Grand Strategies I think we should re word "Show of Might" since apparently GW has FAQ'd this to essentially be "have a battle line unit in the exact center of the battlefield", which is entirely different from what reading it would indicate. Maybe some reminder text? That's essentially all GW's answer is anyway, since one unit in center does completely satisfy the original wording (and it would otherwise be read as 'have four battleline units in very specific parts of the board' which is strictly a massively worse version of another grand strategy in the same pack) For reference the underlying wording probably shouldn't really be changed because you can satisfy it other ways too- two units spread across a parallel or four units in each corner, or two units in one corner each and one unit spread across the opposite parallel etc.

Not a huge fan of the sudden death missions in general. Unless you're absolutely wailing on your opponent, or manage a gotcha, the victory condition is rarely met until the end anyway. Most of the game is spent in a massive dogpile in the middle of the board.
The one in the tournament was at least better than others I've played. Hard to meet victory condition is better than it being too easy for mobile armies. I recall one from 2nd ed where I was able to zip up the board and body block my opponent. I didn't actually need to hold the objective in their zone to win, so by the time turn 3 rolled around I was still in control of enough to meet the conditions. Was a quick game, but not all that exciting.

From what I can remember we had:
Daughters of Khaine: Morathi+Bowsnakes Daughters of Khaine: Wagons and witches and melee snakes Cities of Sigmar: Dorfs+Gotrek Blades of Khorne: I didn't see what Andrew brought but I'm guessing the usual suspects Stormcast Eternals: Conventional stuff, liberators, longstrikes, fulms Sylvaneth: Lots of kurnathi and the big named guy Disciples of Tzeentch: 2+ lords of change?? Ogor Mawtribes: Lots of ironblasters and leadbelchers Soulblight: I didn't see what Shannon brought, something cool I'm sure
I think that's everyone?
