Signed up. Will pay on Saturday and since battlescribe hasn't updated yet, I'll need to manually double check my point costs.

Had a couple questions with the paint scoring for this year:
1. "AND they integrate seamlessly into my display board" - does this mean that bases must clip into your display board or that the board and the bases look very similar when together? Maybe re-word to " bases and display board blend together well - 2pts"
2. Scratch built models / sculpting - in the era of 3D printing what does that mean? are 3D models scratch built, if you get a 3d party weapon or cape does that count for building with green stuff/plastic card. I know that the hobby side of things is changing at a rapid pace with technology and some of this might be a little bit redundant. With the growth of 3D printing even things like kit bashing vs scratch building starts to get blurred. maybe turn it into " models are present in army that are unique using details/parts/builds not from its original kit - 4 points"
3. "My bases have flock or rocks or some other gradient material on them" - with the rise of 3D printing, the new GW battle sector bases and 3rd party bases I know lots of people have moved away from basic bases with material built up on them for other scenic options. I think getting rid of this and making "My bases all have some extra details on them water, lava, snow, tufts, etc." worth 4 points might be a more clear standard.
Not sure how the community feels about this but it's something we should agree on to some degree.

Not sure how the community feels about this but it's something we should agree on to some degree. 1. I'm trying to cover BOTH actually. So that the basing and display board match, but also if you go through the trouble (which some have done) of having the bases clip right into the board, it's covered here too. 2. 3D printing is NOT sculpting. You want sculpting points you have to go the extra mile. Literally anyone can just 3D print something now. That gives you no extra points whatsoever. And I'm certainly not giving people points for not buying the proper model and just printing something instead. 3. If you have bases with built in scenic options they are covered by the other sections. (painted, rims, texture etc.) -------------- It should be almost impossible to get a perfect score on this rubric (I would seriously examine any army that someone scored themselves a 70), but it's broad enough that there should be something in every section you can score, regardless of your army or what style you choose. The pre-score is the base rubric and then it gets added to by opponent's score, and then finally the top armies are voted on by the group at large. I'm not trying to sound harsh or dismissive at all with your suggestions, and I totally understand where you're coming from. I just have to draw a line somewhere or everyone is getting 55+ points (which should be very difficult to achieve).

And so by the 4th of February, got it.

signed up last night excited for my first tournament. lol probably gonna get my butt kicked but it's gonna be fun The great thing is that you'll have a bunch of great games, see a bunch of nicely painted armies, get some swag, and get tickets for the biggest prize pool of the year! Win or lose it's a super fun tournament!

With my true love world eaters coming out “soon” what will the cutoff be for running them if the book drops before the event?
