I have some friends who posted video clips they took of the flooding in the city on Youtube. I was surprised at it as we haven't been getting much rain down my way at all.
Thankfully it wasn't worse.

The problem is that the majority of downtown kingston is still serviced by a limestone sewer from the turn of the century. There would be a lot less (if no) flooding if they tore up the old sewer and replaced the whole thing with new lines.

I just hope he doesn't shut down or get the run-around too badly from his insurance people.

Yeah, insurance is getting pretty rough about this flooding. A bunch of people in my condo area at the bottom of Queen Mary have been cut off by their insurance after this.
Ali came and borrowed my Shop-Vac this morning and said that the majority of the water had drained out, but that there was still a lot of mess to clean up, and lots of puddles left around. I should be hearing from her later on today, and I'll keep people undated.

Took a while for Mike to get anything from his insurance the last time, I am sure this time it will be worse.

Yeah, was there helping out today- Mike has to have the guys come down to confirm that it was from sewage before he goes to the insurance guys about it.

I noticed someone write about the sewage pipes being utter shit in that are of kingston. Is that really the case? After the third instance of flooding surely there are other people who'd like the city to actually do something about this.

hopefully with this last batch of flooding the city will fix the drainage/sewage problems around the city.
hopefully the insurance guys mike has to deal with dont give him the runaround
