Hey everyone, It's been a while since I picked up my models to paint but I wanted to get back into it. Just posting to ensure I try to keep myself accountable and to track my progress. I am still very much learning and would love any C&C. Basing is hard and I'll try to start that when I get more units done lol. Anyways, here are the "completed" for now Bloodcrushers: imgur.com/a/sn2igFL

If you think they suck to paint just wait till you paint one of the chariots, actually putting them together is horrible........(cold sweat ensuing)

We all have models that are annoying to paint. Keep slugging as it looks like you have a good start. As to basing, that can be as easy or as challenging as you want to make it. I've had decent results from just white glue, sand or flock, and pre-made tufts.

Basing can be a pain if you really want it to be. I use texture paste and grass tufts that’s basically it. Does it look great? Not particularly but I’m lazy and from a couple feet away it’s fine

Thanks everyone! I think I need to watch a few tutorials on basing. My only attempt so far hasn't been 100% what I want. On a side note - I dropped a piece of my airbrush down the sink yesterday... So, I'm waiting for a replacement now. Working on flesh hounds & Karanak next.

I did that once then proceeded to take the sink apart to get it back. Luckily the plumber only cost a 12 pack of wobbly pops

I'm trying to do a unit or two every few days - just trying to get paint on models. Here's a Skullmaster & a unit of Bloodletters. imgur.com/a/m8J1t2REvery daemon I have has some type of metallic/organic fusion going on with horns/claws etc. I don't know why I chose that - but I did when I painted up Bel'akor and chose it... so the theme continues. I eventually will run out of Khorne models to paint.

Nurgle! imgur.com/a/jC59jr6 I'm far too scared to try to do the eyes and teeth of the nurglings... they are so small. I could probably do more for the Plaguebearers but I think if I try anymore detail work I'm just going to mess things up. At least it's not red!

I tried to do something zany for Tzeentch and I think they look okay. Flamers imgur.com/a/9gfqVH8I'm impressed that I've had the dedication to do a unit or two every few days. Really trying to power through the daemons so I can work on Necrons... the codex looks fun.

I tried for the first time today doing contrast paint through my airbrush. Friendship with acryllics is over. I've been failing at using contrast paint with the brush as it always comes out... choppy? I haven't been a big fan of it. So, I've been using regular paints and I think I'm going to try to do this more in the future. I could probably add more detail to him but he's officially my last piece for my 2000 point daemon list currently. I'll post a big friendship pic soon! Great Unclean One: imgur.com/a/Q9HZIMdI'm actually really happy with him.
