I checked the book when I was down there on Sunday, and the ASF re-roll IS equal or higher initiative.....wanted to double check that one, as it effects my elves more than...well...any other armies.
Take that clanrats!

Are we limited to 1 dispel scroll per army? I've heard this but didn't see anything in the summary or maybe I just missed it as I know Frank has done a bangup job putting it all together. ;D

Really going to have to rethink my magic-heavy list then...especially with the super-death that seems to come with it now

Yeah...I'm pretty keen on this focus of models actually killing each other rather than 4 guys dying, then a whole unit getting run down. The only issue is that I'll have to actually put my guys back on the tray rather than just rolling an 11 for LD checks and setting them back on my army board!

After having a look at my book...I can't find anywhere where is says you can take more than 1 dispel scroll anymore.
Magic Item section still says you can only take 1 of each item type (Balance of Power heading) and only 1 of each common item per army unless stated otherwise (Unique heading).

I saw a bunch of vids saying only 1 scroll per army

yep... only one dispel scroll per army... the other scrolls which cause an effect once a spell is cast (generating dispel dice etc.) can also be taken...
Dwarf runes are not dispel scrolls... multiple can be taken, as the book specifically says so.
Likewise with the daemons... they are gifts, not scrolls... so multiples can be taken.

....they're pretty underpowered.... wouldn't be very fair if they couldn't dispel better than everyone too!

I'll just have to take Teclis. So long as he gets at least 7 casting dice out of 2d6+d3 (plus another d3 if Banner of Sorcery is there), he's pretty much guaranteed to be able to cast at least 1 spell irresistably a turn. Now...which lore is the grossest?

Now...which lore is the grossest? They all have their pros and cons but will not be completely effective in every situation. For high elves, the lore of shadow's uber spell (something mindrazor, I think) is likely the nastiest as it gives the unit a "to wound" roll on their leadership - which would be 10 with Teclis. Given ASF and high initiative, a block of 30 spears would strike first, re-roll misses, and then roll to wound at S10. Throw in the base spell that can hex an enemy by reducing their WS & Initiative by d3 and you would have a really nasty unit of "weak" elves!!
