Had a burst of energy and finished the basing on the Hellbrute and added some slime to the termies and typhus. Tomorrow... Zombies!

Here's a free way to improve your score.
Clear-coat your zombies, wait for it to dry, then make lime jello with the zombies inside.
BAM
Free slime goop that the judges get to eat (and who doesn't like eating jello? free points ahoy!)
As a side note you should totally bring in a big tub of jello to give to opponents as a "gift of nurgle" to get free points.

I'm not eating any jello that's been slime gooped onto your models.... just sayin.... I'll happily encourage NSC to eat it however.... you get free points if he eats it with the zombie still inside

One dragon painted, the other is based, only 23 more zombies to get base colors onto but a small calamity has struck... The end of my pot of Agrax Earthshade... Ill have to hit nexus on Monday, but after those ink washes everything will be complete sans my display board.

Oh crap. Display board. I bought a nice tray, but I'm not sure how to make it look scars-y

Paint it with lightning bolts... and lightning bolts!
Or prime it white, and then do one big white scars emblem. You could easily stencil one on from a printer.

Do a full diorama complete with dead orks crushed beneath the treads of yet one more lightning raid conducted by the scars.

Or do it like a mechanic's workshop, with oil and techmarines tuning bikes

All painting has been completed sans Agrax earthshade and biel tan green on the two dragons, the quad gun, and 46 zombies. Whew, come Monday night that'll be 2,000 points painted in 17 days.

The dragons still need their bases finished and the zombies need the black ring around their bases but once those last pieces are done they'll at least be table ready. Whew 2000 points painted in 3 weeks, a record considering my thousand sons are still not fully painted!
Edit: Rotated the picture for easier viewing.

looks even more impressive right side up... lol....
and your PLOG is a good way to show people that they can quickly and efficiently get paint on models.... it feels better to play with a fully painted army and to play against a fully painted army...
