well we need three more entrants to run this arena... as the signup has been up for a month already, I'll give it one more week to get the 8 minimum we need.... and assume it's not wanted if we don't hit enough... and once three more participants are posted the arena will run...

We'll I never try the AOD yet so il be new at it, but I'd be up for giving it a shoot. 2 question tho... As I try to think up of a name and so on. 1. Is this just a one day event or a month long campain? 2. If your character loses. That the end of that right? Just want to make sure I get the info right.

Ripca: It is usually a 2-3 week event, depending on the number of participants. Every battle is sudden death so if you lose, the arena is over for you but you can certainly still follow along. Shannon generally writes up some cool battle reports over a couple days to explain what the dice results were and once an entire round is complete, the next round begins. With 8 participants, there would be 3 rounds so it would likely be a short arena.

yep, 8 would be quick... 16 is the preferred amount, as people can contribute to the story more, but we'll certainly work with what we can get... basically you contribute "fluff" to the arena... I lay out the general story, and you guys fill in the blanks... I write up the battles and roll them all offline, but you take care of challenges, banter back and forth, you name it... think of it like D&D where I'm the DM, you guys are all players roleplaying but all dice rolls are done by me to keep things fair...
Justin if you're entering a new DE character, you'll need to let me know stats/what new equipment does etc. because my army builder won't be up to date with it...

Well it's after midnight, so the book is technically released, so here goes.
Dreadlord Corras has spent his entire lifetime using all his skill and guile to remain one step ahead of the competition. From a young age he has fought off all comers in his rise to trusted advisor to Malekith. As such things are not meant to last for ever, especially among the Druchii, his fall from grace was abrupt. Now he finds himself here, fighting for his life, the whim of the true master of Ulthuan
Dreadlord Corras Heavy Armour 5+ Sv Sea Dragon Cloak - +2 ASv Cold One - +2 ASv and Stupidity Great Weapon The Black Amulet - 4+ Ward Save, and all successful ward saves made in a challenge inflict a wound on the opponent with no armour saves allowed.
Total 245

Vlad the Treacherous.
90 Skaven Warlord 45 Warlock-Augment Weapon 30 Warpstone Armour 30 Foul Pendent 15 Shield of Distraction 30 Great Pox Rat 8 Tail Weapon
248 Points
The somewhat long'ish Tail of Vlad.
Vlad Started his life like most skaven do, by killing one a other at birth. Within a Year Vlad started to make many friends in all the right place.. (Might of had a few exchange of Warpstone tokens), but soon enuf Vlad was on his way to become a champion of a unit, but that wasn't good enuf for him, so within a year or so a Chieftain die form a "unforeseen" accident, and Vlad with his connections move up yet again within the skaven underworld. And in no time the power started to go to Vlad head.. But it still wasn't enuf for him.
So one day out in the open (as open as a dark underground city can be) when a great Warlord... Eee... Something, was making a speech to the troops, Vlad walk up to him all casual and stab him in front of everyone and toke all the warlords power, and form then on he was know as the treacherous.
But as all great skaven story's goes, after 7 months of pure power Vlad was betrayed by one of his trusted Chieftain during a battle on the surface... Vlad almost didn't make it out.
Now powerless and army less once again, with notting but the few spoils of past battle he had on him when he made off on his Great Pox Rat, Vlad ventures on. (Topside)

Returning from the cusp of the eternal realm beyond, the Humbled Harbinger carries a message that is hopeful for those with the character to take it, and harrowing for those without. His spoken visions of the immense reality of the afterlife he glimpsed while on the edge of it are only capable with the Sword of Truth in hand. Having his soul ransomed by some eternal act of grace, he ended up surviving the vacuum into the afterlife. He wouldn't wish the reality he saw in the Dark side on an enemy, and is given to sharing the reality he glimpsed on the Light side. Although believed to be undead, he isn't, but most don't know any better. He solemnly volunteered his life to bring the Sword of Truth to the passionate & venturing warriors of the arena, at the risk of his mortal existence, but all the while hoping they'd find more than they expected.
~He's the Harbinger of words not often heard ~They're the power of truth ~But to the proud they're absurd ~Though he swings the sword it's blade does little harm ~He speaks: Our souls are in reach of Dark Void's arm! ~I am given to speak- not by any whim I should ~My motive that all know All That is Good! ____________________________________________________________________________ The Humbled Harbinger, Sentry of the Void Vampire on his barded mount, the Mare of Night Heavy Armour, Shield, and Dragonhide-Helm Charm of Cognizance (Other's Trickster's Shard) The Sword of Truth (Scabscraith) Knowledge of times past: Aura of Dark Majesty, Beguile, Dread Knight

His predecessor the Humbled Harbinger being hung without trial, a great champion rose from the ranks of Warriors of the North- one not necessarily bent on evil. He grew in passion, and wrestled with discouragement at the sight, but eventually reminded himself such persecution should be expected of vocal perceivers of the unseen.
The Executioner- as he is called- takes to the task of hewing down his foes with a massive two-handed axe. He does what he needs to do to get the job done. That's pretty much all there is to say about the Executioner.
Exalted Hero of Chaos Mark of Tzeench (3++) Great Weapon (S7, ASL) Barded Chaos Steed (1+) Helm of Many Eyes (ASF, stupidity) Talisman of Preservation Other Trickster's Shard (foes re-rolls ++) 3rd Eye (re-rolls 1's on ward-saves) Fear
