Got some scenery painted, the Ziggurat is the central piece of terrain for Webway Assault, Necrosius is standing on the second tier for a scale reference. It was sized to be imposing and to keep the board from being a shooting gallery. When Shannon and I played the mission it was fairly easy to keep units out of LOS and will force some good deployment and movement of troops. I still have the 4 objectives to do, but I'm glad the ziggurat is finished, it was the big piece and is nice to have out of the way. Also… Vents for Friendly Fire! Yes! They’re finally painted, again Necrosius doing the job of modelling the size. Also got some done on the Warhound, so the three tables I’m supporting will actually have painted stuff on them… Perish the thought.

Thanks for doing this Matt... I think your mission is definitely a good one

Took some more shots of Plasma Cannon Legionnaire #1 I got another 5 assembled last night. I'll be assembling all of them then doing a mass green-stuff-a-thon to sculpt on their details. Edit: I definitely like the front of the flames a lot more than the back, I may have to go over it with another layer to really get the "lick" of the flames correct. Attachments:

I like the octopus it looks good. The skull for some reason makes me think of Darth Vader not sure why.

the skull does look more like their symbol. but yes the arcadia did kind of look like an octopus. so im torn
edit: also id say the space pirates would be more like space marines in there hard suits, mowing down imperial guard guys lol

Last but not least, the current state of Space Pirate Captain Harlock's Imperial Knight "The Arcadia". The Arcadia cannon is roughly in place, still needs a lot of detailing and the gun mechanisms added, I had to re-design the back plate as it wasn't large enough for the motor to be mounted properly. Updated prints of the back plate, front and rear gun batteries, front and rear rotating plates and fascia (once fully modeled) still needs to be done. The gravity saber is done though! Once the Arcadia cannon is complete I can get down to the remaining sculpting on him, mainly some bony looking protrusions on the carapace and a large torn flag to be mounted on a brass rod from the top of the carapace.

Thanks Shannon, the bases are sculpted green stuff on a 1/4" thick punched steel disc.
