Can the LED bulbs rotate colours or are they mono colour?
Seriously cool either way but if you could have them rotate and change colours randomly that'd be unreal.

Turns out I was wrong about what Ahriman’s weapon used to look like, whoops! I’ve been re-reading A Thousand Sons so I can get as many details as possible correct as I’ll be basing the models off of legion members alive after the burning of Prospero. So, I’ve updated Ahriman’s weapon to accurately show a bladed end, I moved the spiked shepherds crook to the other end of the staff, made the bookmark for the Book of Magnus, sculpted the cartouches on his greaves and his helmet crest. Also started working on some Autocannon conversions that I’ll have some pictures of after lunch.

Really pumped to see these guys painted up! You're encouraging me to work on my sculpting. I've been toying around a bit after building those scouts half out of green stuff, and I'm starting to get a feel for creating little add on details.

Army painter, once again I put my faith in you and again you do not disappoint me. Dragon red will be the primer for the Thousand Sons.

Looking good. And yes army painter primers are made of win. Using the alien purple for my Emp's and it is so nice.

The scarab occult begins to take shape. Did some filling on the deathwing knight terminators to make them look less death knightly, drilled the bolter barrels and have been enjoying working with the puppetswar replacement parts (heads and shoulderpads) except for one annoying factor.
I have to shave every single shoulder bell on the terminators upper arms because the shoulderpads (sized for terminators) are too small by about 2mm. Granted they’re resin and they stretch a bit so getting an exact fit isn’t required but I’m still glad these guys aren’t pewter as this would make working with the replacement shoulderpads a ponderous task.

I've been assembling as much as I can before any painting (other than priming) and now only need 6 more bodies, a fortification and all 5 tanks to complete for the playtest army I’ve got worked up. I can’t actually assemble the tanks fully until these pieces arrive. I just finished the 3D modeling on them and will be ordering them from Shapeways soon. I’ll only do one of each then make a mold to get all the copies I’ll need. I’m stoked that they’re finally complete as it took an evening with a graph paper and my calipers to get the exact door dimensions for the digital copies.

Got a good news email this morning, the doors are being printed and will ship soon! Can’t wait to get them in some silicon and turn out some copies for my rhinos and predators!

Well that is amazing. Oh the things I would do if I could 3d model like that....

They came! I'm so unimaginably happy with the outcome. Time to do a bit of light sanding before getting them into the molds.
