What's inside the tube with the pilot? Very very cool looking. It’s called Pour-On. It’s supposed to be used as a pourable table varnish but it’s an old standby for clean water effects. It sets very slowly but is less reactive to heat and moisture than the stuff I used that sadly ruined the original pilot.

(in the same voice as the guy who announces bird man…) Escaaaaaape Hatch! Slightly inordinate time allotted to a 25 point upgrade.. Attachments:

Fresh back from St. Louis and I got Ahriman, the Daemonology Sorcerer, the Cultist squad leader and all the Thousand Sons based. They can all officially be considered finished and point totals on pg. 1 has been jumped to reflect that! Almost to 4k painted this year. Another really, really productive one I think.
I'm hoping to have the Sicaran painted by year end as it traveled with me and had some work done on it while down south as well as a few of the rhino's and a predator.

SICARAN!
I just got mine and have been cleaning it up. That thing is a beast. Looking forward to sitting down and working on it.

Speaking of Sicarans... I got mine finished last night before midnightso it counts towards 2014, haha. Kheper is the ancient Egyptian word for scarab and I felt a fitting moniker for this brute of a tank. The "wings" of the scarab are from the Tomb Kings Necrosphinx kit.

Whelp, I've got a lot of work to do on mine to even come close to that standard just set down. Well done!

Whelp, I've got a lot of work to do on mine to even come close to that standard just set down. Well done! Thanks Justin! I'll take that to heart as I find your painting style very clean and precise. Progress wise, the havocs are based and helbrute #2 is about 60%. Display board was primed and the bastion saw some work today as well. One by one check marks are being placed on yet to do items.

“Baleq Uthizzar” is complete! Still building on the visible pilot Helbrute idea as well as the heavily Egyptian themes going in the armor decorations. Another check mark placed, next up, more tanks…

I need to apologize to the poor 25 point Escape Hatch that I said previously took too much time. Such vehemence should be reserved for the 35 point rhino I painted this weekend, lol. 20 times the time for 1.4 times the points. Sincerest apologies Escape Hatch…
Bonus though is there’s a rhino now painted! Another 35 points closer to completion! With that rhino finished my list (points wise) is 80% painted, by model count it’s 72% painted. Pics to follow later of the finished Rhino.
