new IA book looks pretty fun:
A lot has been revealed during the first day of Warhammer Fest. This list of what is in Imperial Armour 13 has been reported as very accurate regarding what is in the new book, and there is a lot more information where that comes from. Of course I can just give a quick overview and you can go look at the details of what is being reported. Lets take a look at what is in the book, and if you want to know more you can follow the link.
via Mr Mystery on the Bols Lounge www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?49798-Imperial-Armour-13 Chaos Astartes Battle Tanks Chaos Predator Battle Tank Chaos Infernal Relic Battle Tank (all the Heresy versions. Autocannon on that is AP3...) Chaos Vindicator Siege Tank Chaos Relican Sicaran Battle Tank
Chaos Astartes Assault Vehicles Chaos Land Raider Chaos Land Raider Proteus Chaos Infernal Relic Land Raider Achilles (oh, and for every HP knocked off that? Bigdakkafourboom gains +1S, lowers the AP by 1 (unit entry oddly worded, but example given on Pp195), and adds -1 to enemy Pinning Tests, on top of it's base -1 for Shellshock. Example mentioned? 2 HP lost makes it S7, AP3, Pinning tests at -3... Chaos Rhino Armoured Troop Carrier
Chaos Astartes Heavy Tanks Chaos Fellblade Super-heavy Tank Chaos Typhon Heavy Siege Tank Chaos Spartan Assault Tank
Chaos Astartes Attack Craft Chaos Fire Raptor Gunship Chaos Thunderhawk Gunsip Chaos Hellblade (Autocannon can be upgraded to Heavy 3, Rending which I think is new? Oh, and at the start of play, you can nominate a Flyer or Flying Monstrous Creature or Gargantuan Flappy Nasty, including those in reserve. When making AP rolls or To Wound against the chosen model, 1's can be re-rolled. Which is pretty *****ing if you ask me) Chaos Hell Talon (Again, Autocannon can be souped up) Chaos Dreadclaw Drop Pod (does what it does. Has Assault Vehicle, and Frag Launchers. And does burninating when zipping about) Chaos Kharybdis Assault Cloaw (biggerer version of the Dreadclaw)
Chaos Dreadnoughts & Helbrutes Ferrum Infernus Chaos Dreadnought (Daemon Prince waiting to happen, for 25 points) Emperor's Children Sonic Dreadnought (Warp Amp doubles the shots of it's Sonic weapons if it remains stationary in a turn, and can give all sonic weapons Rending at the price of Gets Hot!) Chaos Contemptor Dreadnought
Daemon Engines The Machine Daemonica (fluff stuff, but reading through the contents as printed to avoid missing gubbins off) Greater Brass Scorpion of Khorne Blood Slaughterer of Khorne Chaos Rapier Weapons Carrier Chaos Decimator Blight Drones Plague Hulk of Nurgle
Chaos Titans Chaos Reaver Battle Titan Chaos Warhound Titan
Renegades and Heretics Full army list and that.
Appendices Appendix I - Legacies of Ruin ( I assume the Rites of War equivalent, but see below *) Appendix II - Special Rules - Vehicle Summary - Weapons Summary Appendix III: Lords of the Abyss (honking geet Daemons

I feel ok with waiting for the regular edition... A poster and slipcover aren't important enough for 50 pounds.

So, a little hype for this book as per someone who ordered the collectors edition (not me). Take with some salt as I don't know this person;
"Some of the slightly older players will remember the glory days of the 3.5 edition Chaos Space Marine codex, and the 'Lost and the Damned' list in Codex: Eye of Terror. Thanks to Forge World, many of the great things from this era have returned in IA13!
... recommend it to anybody who was a fan of the Vraks books, Codex Eye of Terror, CSM 3.5 or Chaos in general. If you're a fan of any of these, or just love traitors/renegades, you'll adore this book.
Most of the Heresy era tanks have rules for use in 40k, and Renegades get a whole army list to themselves, a much more refined version of what was present in the Vraks books."
I hope that excites those of you lookin' at this book as a maybe. =P

Well I am pretty sure they were already sold out at that point. I was just tryin' to build some hype for the regular edition for those interested in it.

Mildly annoying video review... Don't fret on the cheap flyer, it only has 4 shots normally. Not sure where they figure that reaper autocannons have 4 shots each... www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_rlSnxQdm0#t=71

Well Matt from what I spied on that Sicaran you're not going to worry about it.
It looks like it's identical to the 30K one rules wise from what I can spy and it's dirt dirt dirt cheap for that mean tank.
I'll take 2 non chaos versions now thanks.

The 135 point pricetag for them base is pretty dirty I'll agree especially if their armor line is still 13/12/12 on a fast chassis.
I saw that the relic preds went up by 15 points each base, it'll be interesting to see what they come with now to justify the point bump as their previous stock loadout was a single AC like the codex version. I'm also really intrigued by the random special abilities given to all of your vehicles depending on which aspect you venerate? Not sure on that one but I can't pass judgement until I've got it in hand.
