well the difference is for example if someone was painting a space marine and they painted his bolter, his eyes and one shoulder pad, that would be three colours, but the model wouldn't exactly be painted right? (as 90% of it would be just primer)
how I normally say it is that your model is painted... so whatever standard you want it to be at, but someone looks at it and says, "yep, that model is painted". whether that means you're going for a few basic colours or try to go all out, that's why there's different levels in the painting score...
it's to stop people from bringing half painted models is all... if your models are painted with three different colours on them, MOST of the time this would mean they would easily count as fully painted...

An army can be fully painted at 3 colours I fit looks done, but the 3 colour minimum has a lot of leeway for unfinished models that still have 3 colours on them. For example an Ork with a green head, red eyes and a silver gun is all good in a 3 colour minimum event, but definitely not fully painted.

Yea, I guess 2013 was only 3 colours. But you know when I think of and single colour its actually taken to it's completion so all my 3 colour models 'look' finished (though I don't think they are). This will be the first time in a long time where I'll have what I consider to be fully painted models on the table at a tournament (though not many).

Okay so necrons are being released on January 31st (still rumoured but fairly reliably).
IF you are playing necrons in the tourney, but obviously want to use the new book... if you're registered at Nexus and paid by January 30th AND you send me a PM indicating you're going crons for the tourney, I'll give you some listbuilding leeway for that part of early bird (to Feb 5th we'll say)... as the book is being released the day after early bird ends, so this would not be fair in the least.
note: this wouldn't allow you to go "I'm gonna see if the new codex is totally OP first, then otherwise bring Eldar if it sucks"... the extension is to allow the new book to be used.... but registration and payment must still happen by the deadline to qualify AND you have to let me know you're doing this!

I'm sure this is somewhere but I cant seem to find it. How would you like lists sent to you? Do you have a preferred email account, I'd love to hand in a hard copy but am at school until the 6th of Feb so I'll miss the date.

I still unfortunately have no idea if work is going to let me have the weekend off. I guess I'll send you a list and prepay next time I'm down and if I can't make it, at least I'll get a T-shirt

I'll try for monday... cough"
