if true this could get expensive for me...
From Faeit:
"We have been told at one point recently that the codex for the Sister's Of Battle (Adeptas Sororitas) was done. Now we are getting more news that not only is the codex done, but the models are in production right now for a full release, Dark Eldar Style. This would definitely be fantastic looking for a Q2 release. Please remember that these are rumors. via Zion on Heresy Online From a little Ripper Swarm to me: The Codex is done, the models are in production, and it's nebulously a Q2 release. It's the Dark Eldar treatment-- rebuilt the range from the ground up, completely. "

Hopefully they don't suck! However, going away from the all metal range would be nice for certain.

even if they're essentially the same rules wise, if I can get plastic sisters that are multi-posable, they'll hit the top of my meger purchasing budget.

From Faeit: "This was a day or so ago, but nightfury in his comments on the site (he has had some particular good insight in the past) has mentioned the the moulds for the Adeptas Sororitas are done and production has started. This is a big deal, although it doesn't give us a release time frame. Done models can sit for quite some time in a warehouse, but it does give us a little more hope that we will see the Sister's of Battle sometime soon. With the recent rumors from Bols that a summer campaign will include Sisters of Battle and Tzeentch, and nightfury's comments a release is looking very good for this summer. please remember that these are rumors at this point. via Nightfury on Faeit 212 I can guarantee plastic kits for adeptus sororitas will be released within the next 18 months.. the molds are finished and production is already underway rumors from Bols a few days ago can be seen at this link natfka.blogspot.com/2015/02/sisters-of-battle-and-tzeentch-releases.html "

well here's our yearly sisters rumour telling us to wait longer...lol
from Faeit:
" via anonymous sources on Faeit 212 Jes Goodwin has wrapped up the artwork and the rules for the codex. Sisters are ready and could be released within 3 months at any time
The bad thing is that they have been in this state for more than a year and Jes has stopped the process.

from Bolter & Chainsword:
It has been a long time since I was here and I am not usually one for rumors.
...
Plastic and a new codex coming 2nd or 3rd Qtr 2017. Just before 8th.
I asked if it was going to be an 8th edition codex all they said was "can't say."
Yes, I know. "I'll believe it when I see it." I am that way with rumors too. However this particular person I trust. They said I could share this much and so I have. Anyway. Your faith will soon be rewarded. Expect more rumors to come shortly from other people but as far as I am concerned, it's a done deal. I will of course understand if it requires seasoning for you

unfortunately yes....
sisters of battle have not had a printed codex since the Witchhunters codex of 2004. In 2011 they had a white dwarf PDF which was updated as an Ibook (digital only release) in October 2013, however this was just a reprint of the white dwarf PDF.
They are the oldest codex by FAR for any army which currently is still technically supported by GW. Older than the CSM codex (which people are clamouring to have updated) by EIGHT YEARS.
Much of the metal miniature line for the sisters were sculpted in 1997 (with a re-release in 2003 to coincide with witchhunters codex)
So they are by far the oldest product line, both print and miniature, for GW.

For those who may have missed it - in the Magnus vid that GW put out, and the very end, you hear a voice from within the super secret Red garbage bin say "Ooh, these aren't releasing for months yet! Plastic Sisters of Battle!"
So...I can't imagine they'd be so mean as to directly tease them without a release planned, given the demand they must know exists.

Based on the rest of that video, I would totally not be surprised if they just threw it in there for the lols.

oh and the choice between sisters and genestealer cult is seriously hurting my brain...
I know I can only afford one of these armies as from the ground up we're talking some serious cash.

I'd say sisters, it's a imperial army that is interesting and you already have a good number of xenon armies. As far as I've seen most of your imperial armies are some sort of alternate style (angry Marines, smurfs, squats) I think you'd enjoy having a standard imperial army with a motif you actually like.
