Hey Shannon
Pretty sure i know the answer, but i will be using Guard for the first time, and i can take 0-5 Commisars or Priests or 0-3 Primaris Psykers as 1 HQ choice. I am interpreting that means i can take 1 of each, but the Sentinel squadron clarification makes me wonder if i can fill out those slots.
Question 2 - Alternatively, can i take 1 commissar and 1 Lord commisar or strictly one commisar, lord or not.

Because sentinels and be selected as a unit, you can fill out the unit, however entries that are 0-X are separate. 0-X selections are all separate units, of which you can select up to X many times. For most units this is limited by the FOC or formation restrictions, or otherwise they are 0-infinity. This tournament reduces all of those to the availability of 0-1.
Hopes that clarifies the difference of squads of sentinels vs 0-X HQ slots.
Works the same way for Daemons too. One herald only, but units of chariots are possible.

Makes sense. Thats what i thought, but thank you for the clarification. Also, as for question 2, if a librarian and dreadnought librarian are considered the same thing, i imagine the same would apply to Commisars and Lord Commisars right

I had thought so. I'll be using every guard model i own minus a commisar and 1 chimera then!
Am going a little nuts with painting right now (20 conscripts, special weapon squad, heavy weapon squad, a cimera, a sentinel, coy command squad, vets squad and an aegis line all since Sunday)
Only the aegis line and 10 conscripts to go. Good thing im on leave from our 2 months of training!

Still can't come but... how would the tank commander work? He's in a russ, and must be accompanied by at least one additional russ. Allowed?

make sure you've taken a look at the missions for this one (posted above). They are quite different from what we are used to, and are taken from the BAO/ITC format. We had the chance to play this system at the Trenton tourney and both Tommy and I agreed it was extremely fun and kept the games interesting, bloody and quite close!
